KayaLove00 Posted April 8, 2008 Report Posted April 8, 2008 That is amazing. I would recomend waiting til you are 18 but it's up to you. The same thing happened to me and my husband. I offered him a BoM and he read it and wanted to get baptised. His parents are penticostal and I'm not going to lie, it's been a struggle for my husband to tell his parents what we believe and his mother no long speaks to him without arguing religion-and it's been years since he joined. They were always fed partial-truths about our church, but it is very important to point out the beliefs that we share in common. Set the example no matter how tough it may seem and keep learning so you can have the knowledge and spirit with you. Quote
lostnfound Posted May 18, 2008 Report Posted May 18, 2008 I am actually wondering about something you posted in your op. Why do you think that God sees us as puppets? I am from the bible belt and I have some baptist roots so I can relate but to that I could not..so I was confused as to how that fit in. I have never thought that God sees us as puppets but rather gave us a free will to choose him or not. His love is amazing and I think about that every easter. Quote
