Was Isaiah (2 Ne.) referring to Saddam?

Who considered himself a new Nebuchadnezzar: was it not Saddam Hussein? To whom was Isaiah (2 Ne. 24: 14-16 and 21) referring in these verses? Now consider: where was Saddam when we found him? Was it not a pit? (vs. 15.) And, remember the videos of the doctor examining him? Was not the doctor "narrowly looking upon him"? And consider the fate of his two sons: while celebrating their latest assault on an innocent female, we took them out with a smart bomb. Does that not fit nicely with vs. 21-22? Some prophecies in the scriptures are fulfilled only once, such as the birth, life and sacrifice of Christ. Some can have multiple fulfillments, such as Daniel's "Abomination of Desolation", which was fulfilled by the sack of Jerusalem around the time of Lehi, again by the Romans around 75A.D., and will be again just prior to the second coming. Well, ok, that's enough for now for this new guy on the block. Thanks.

I dunno. Saddam didn't do much shaking of kingdoms or the earth. He may have fancied it, but he was a puppet of the U.S. And not a very powerful one. Even with all our assistance, he could not overcome the Iranians. When he finally turned on big oil, we squashed his army quick. And when we decided to do the regime change we walked in there like it was a 7-11.

Satan has the world convinced (even much of the Christian world) that he is an awful monster of great power. When his day is through they will look on him narrowly. The kings of the world will retain at least the memory of their greatness. Satan however will demonstrate himself to have always been only a liar with no power of his own to speak of. It is not he that terrorizes the nations, but those which rule over him.
