Guest tomk Posted April 22, 2008 Report Posted April 22, 2008 Maybe this is a dumb analogy, but I'll post it anyways. I have a "trick" for remembering stuff I want to take into work. I put my car keys next to the item I want to remember. For example, there is a certain kind of drink I enjoy. My wife knows this, and she bought me one last night to take into work this morning. I was showering and remembered the drink I wanted to take into work, so I yelled (nicely) from the shower to have my keys put next to my drink in the fridge. It worked. As I was thinking about this ridiculously silly thing I do, it occurred to me that my daily counseling with the Lord in writing (during my prayer and scripture study) is a lot like putting my keys in the fridge. It's a tool for helping me to remember to do something important. To remember Him. I was so tickled by this I just had to take a few minutes and post it. I hope my sharing blesses someone. tomk Quote
Hemidakota Posted April 22, 2008 Report Posted April 22, 2008 I have the Savior picture and Joseph Smith picture in front of me to remind me of both of them at work. I wish my second son would improve upon his memory since everyday he has to find his keys or cell-phone. lol Quote

It's part of having "eyes to see."Doing this opens the treasure trove of insights into His goodness. Receiving such allows Him to give more. Quote
