Guest Starsky Posted June 23, 2004 Report Posted June 23, 2004 I love Cats....I had a golden tabby...we called him TC.....and we had a pure black one we called Smokey....and we had a pure white cat with a grey tuffed on his head....we call him Snowy... I miss them terribly... we actually have had dozens of Cats......but now have one dog...he is our protector...LOL Quote
Maureen Posted June 24, 2004 Report Posted June 24, 2004 Proud cats owners must unite. :) I know how you feel Faerie, my family and I have 2 cats. Buffy is 2 years old and Ptolemy (Toley) is one and looks just like your Jinx (as a kitten). Toley was fuzzy when we got him and he still has that fuzz, it's just fuzzier. He was 2.5 lbs when we brought him home and now 1 year later he is 20 lbs - he is on a diet. I just love my cats, they are so funny, charming and very affectionate. M. Quote
Guest Starsky Posted June 24, 2004 Report Posted June 24, 2004 Hey Faerie....12 weeks? Cool! Time is flying.... Quote
Faerie Posted June 24, 2004 Author Report Posted June 24, 2004 Thanks guys!!! I found Sylvester as a kitten just a few months after we had been married. His tail was paralyzed, so we had it taken off when he was neutered. That cat LOOOOOOOOOOOOOVES adam!! Oh my goodness...as soon as Adam gets home that cat is on him like stink on pig....He won't leave Adam alone at all and it's hilarious... Anna was a self-bought Christmas present...We had just moved into our house and Sylvester became an indoor kitty and he was terribly bored and lonely..so I talked Adam into letting me get another kitten...Anna is our fattest cat, don't know how much she weighs but she sure does have a lot of gut on her!! Jinx was my "oh my gosh i'm never going to get pregnant, i'm never going to have kids, boo fricking hoo, pity me so let's get another kitten!!" Adam was NOT happy about his presence at all, and tried to make me give him up. But he was only 5 weeks old and he got attached FAST!! I was REALLY hoping he'd end up being a fuzzy wuzzy..but as you can see, he's a short hair..he's actually a tuxedo cat..has a white throat and white belly... We looooves out kitties...and there's Gizmo the wonder pup...I let him out today and when I went to let him back in he was gone!!! I went all over the neighborhood calling for him, getting freaked out cuz he didn't have his tags on!! Finally I stopped to think and heard him whimpering in the woods...crying more like it!! So I made my way through my neighbor's back yard down to the creek/river and he had fallen in!! He was on this itty bitty piece of land on the bank and he was refusing to move!!! I tried to get him to come to me and he wouldn't budge. And the banks are like...6 feet straight down!! So I grabbed my neighbor to see if he'd use his boat to go get the little booger. So my neighbor was getting the water out of his boat when Gizmo jumped in and swam over to him!! LITTLE BOOGER!! So yeah...I'm an animal nut Quote
Faerie Posted June 24, 2004 Author Report Posted June 24, 2004 and yes, i'm almost 13 weeks!! I'm soooooooooooper happy that this pregnancy is going by so fast...at least the icky part :) I find out the sex next month cuz I have to have a 3D u/s!! YAY!! Quote

Our situations are kinda similar Faerie. Before we had Buffy and Toley or our human kids our first cats were Nero and Meesha. I too had infertility problems and my cats were my therapy and substitute kids. The cats made the waiting and wondering so much easier.M. Quote
