I know Judas, James and Simon were disciples, but I seem to remember that Joses was listed as Jesus's brother, not a disciple. In Matthew it only says that Joseph did not know her until after she gave birth to Jesus. If he never knew her (carnally, as husband and wife), why would they make such a specification? There is no reason to believe that Mary remained a virgin her entire life when she had a lawfully wedded husband.Matthew 1:25 specifically states: "And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS.""Firstborn son" indicates that he was the first of multiple sons. If he was her ONLY child, the scriptures would not call him her firstborn. Mary, therefore, had more than one son, and was therefore not a perpetual virgin. We also see that he didn't do many mighty works in Nazareth because of the unbelief there (v. 58). I've read that and I never get why that's the case. My guess is that he left it open so they could negotiate. The NIV agrees with this: "What are you willing to give me if I hand him over to you?"The answer is False. In a different account, he fell headlong and his bowels gushed out. These are two vastly different accounts of his death. Which one correctly describes how Judas really died? Acts 1:18 "With the reward he got for his wickedness, Judas bought a field; there he fell headlong, his body burst open and all his intestines spilled out. 19Everyone in Jerusalem heard about this, so they called that field in their language Akeldama, that is, Field of Blood."
