Guest Molock3579 Posted May 6, 2008 Report Posted May 6, 2008 I was told to introduce myself so I will. To start, my friend told me to come here because I am not Mormon or any religion for that matter. He knows I like philosophical discussions so hopefully a couple people here will be able to engage in "intellectual thought." I have read the bible and most of the book of mormon and the two other books that come along with that. I had discussions with missionaries of various religions. My conclusion is that all religion is childish. I see it as dealing with children. I could care less in what people want to believe and if it makes them happy and they find enlightment, who am I to tell otherwise? The only problem is, religious people don't see it that way. They think something must be wrong with you or that you are missing in life. Some of my mormon friends refer to me as "misguided." I come to expect being called that because anyone who thought for themselves have been termed "misguided." So, with this happy little intro I wrote up I would be more than happy to discuss with people whatever they want. My friend thinks I will enjoy myself so I trust in that. Ask any question, I am shy from nothing. I can come of as mean but my intention is not to hurt anyone by what I think. The more people discuss with each other the more they learn to understand were all very similar. Quote
Guest tomk Posted May 6, 2008 Report Posted May 6, 2008 Welcome to the forums. There is "child-like" and "child-ish" :) The Lord said we are to become as little children, in that we are to take upon ourselves those attributes, of humility, meekness, and submission. As for "childish" -- yes, everyone is guilty of that from time to time in here. :) Quote

Guest Molock3579 Posted May 6, 2008 Posted May 6, 2008 · Hidden Hidden I am sorry you think that was the spelling I was trying to imply. Just for your own record, that was not the source of the spelling I was using.
Guest Molock3579 Posted May 6, 2008 Posted May 6, 2008 · Hidden Hidden I did not mean childish in that form. My own stupidy allows me to think people would know what I meant by that. So, take some time to think of what I was saying and reply back if you think you know.

It is my own stupidity to assume that people would have understood what I meant by that. I would go into detail but obviously I would be wasting everyone's time. Quote

Moloch - Demons, Demonology, and Evil in Judaism and Christianity HiJollyWhen making that screen name it had nothing to do with what you are referencing. I do appreciate you giving me credit in what I was suppose to (in your mind) be crediting. Not everything everyone says on here is to have a religious reference. Quote

Guest Molock3579 Posted May 6, 2008 Posted May 6, 2008 · Hidden Hidden Welcome Mo. :)I like how the three posts are attacking me for what I said. You obviously didn't read what I said because if you did I said, ask me a question. Why would you three even respond if your beliefs were entact? In your eye's I am going to hell anyways. Don't waste your time. But Dr. T, atleast you used quotes.

I'm the same way. Quote
MaidservantX Posted May 7, 2008 Report Posted May 7, 2008 Welcome, Molock. I hope you get to know these gentlemen. I can tell you that their humor was for the direct purpose of welcoming and including you, not adversarial. (Tom was starting the first conversation! :)) We are just a bunch of clowns here sometimes. I look forward to learning from you, and hope you can learn from me. Glad to have you on the site. Quote
