‘Saturday’s Warrior’ Motion Picture Announces Principal Cast Including Alex Boye’ and 17 Year-Old LDS Artist

Today the producers of “Saturday’s Warrior,” the Motion Picture, announced their principal cast in the upcoming 2016 film.

The role of Jimmy Flinders will be played by Kenny Holland, a 17 year-old singer/songwriter from Arizona with a significant online following. (Watch his introduction video above.) In a video on the Saturday’s Warrior YouTube channel, Kenny’s parents also shared their experience of helping their son get cast for the role. Kenny’s father said,

We just felt like there was something more than just a thought, we felt like it was more divinely inspired.

Another principal role, that of the heavenly guide, will be played by Alex Boye’. Watch his excitement as he announces his role in the film below.

According to Deseret News, filming will begin September 4, 2015 near Salt Lake City. Lex de Azevedo and his team are still aiming to raise $100,000 for the project by Friday, September 18. You can back the project at kickstarter.com.
