Don't feel bad, we probably won't do anything at my house either, we have two young children and no babysitter. I always try to get my dh to at least stay up until midnight but he is always snoring away by 11. So I will probably just watch the ball drop and go to bed

My fave is Oh Holy Night too. It always gives me chills. I also like Hark the Herald Angels sing and Carol of the Bells. Especially the version of Carol of the Bells by Transiberian Orchestra. I could listen to it over and over again.

I chose the 4th choice. I am not married to a mormon and I am so glad my parents weren't one of the first two choices. Of course they wanted me to be married in the temple, but they also want me to be happy. They too would rather see me married to someone outside the church and be happy and fulfilled then see me married inside the church and being miserable. My husband is Presbyterian so I think they were glad he was at least christian.

I am glad it's not just me that is not typical. Sometimes it seems everyone is a better sahm than me. I had a roommate who always made crock-pot meals for her boyfriend. I have been married seven years and still don't own a crock-pot!! The first time I tried cooking a full meal my husband thought he had walked into the wrong house!

No Way!!!! We are leaving as soon as my husband is finished with his Postdoc hopefully by January. We were going to leave anyway, but all these hurricanes have really convinced us that this is not the place we want to live.

I am 31 years old. I have been married for 7 years to my husband and we have two girls ages 3 and 18 months. I was born in a small N. Utah town and lived there until I was 24 when I married my dh and moved to S.Cali where he went to grad school. I currently live in Miami where we have been hit by 3 hurricanes, Katrina, Rita, and Wilma, which left us without power for 6 days and we were the lucky ones. I am not really a typical mormon wife, I don't cook very well, I am a rotten housekeeper, and I can't sew, knit, or crochet to save my life. My dh is not a member and is always teasing me that he should have held out for a real mormon wife. I told him in order to get one of those he needs to become a member. Well, I have been trying to learn to cook lately and I am not doing to shabby if I do say so myself. I still hate cleaning but I do it. I like reading books such as Harry Potter, Nicholas Sparks and pretty much anything else I can get my hands on. I also am a magazine addict, I love InStyle, Cosmo, Glamour, Time, the church magazines, which I know is a huge contradiction, but I am fascinated by all of them. I love music and movies too, but this is getting too long so I won't list any. In fact I am done for now!!

I like Green Day, Aerosmith, Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, Alanis Morrisette, Foo Fighters, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, No Doubt, Usher, Nelly, Marvin Gaye, Eminem(Some of him anyway), Naugty By Nature, LL Cool J, Sugar Hill Gang, Faith Hill, Kelly Clarkson, Cher, Pat Benatar,Simple Plan, Madonna, and the list could go on awhile. Oh!! I love all the old hair bands from the 80's like Poison, Quiet Riot, Cinderella, Ratt, Slaughter Etc.

Anything by: The Eagles, Bob Marley, Faith Hill, Bon Jovi, Aerosmith, Alanis Morrisette, Simple Plan, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Kelly Clarkson, Evanescense, Green Day,the list goes on an on for me. Sorry I don't have time to write out lyrics, and I have a bad memory anyway, I don't usually remember lyrics unless I am singing along with the song.
