What a very kind thing to offer ( A GREAT example to us all ) Peace, Ceebooboo

WOW!!! This has been a VERY heated thread for a Thursday evening.:) Wanted to say 2 things 1 Love you all 2. Vort, I am extending my hand to you ( friends ????) and I LOVE you as well. Bytor, I am going to pm you Peace, Ceebooboo
-
Hi bytor, As always, thanks for the kind manner you offer things to me.:) I agree that I may be a little surprised by what some Popes may have said in the 2000 year history but I can't imagine any of them saying things like are being discussed here. At any rate, thanks for you even handed contribution. Peace, Ceebooboo

Hello Johnny, I could not agree with you more. Why then, if Scripture is already clear, has this thread developed?? Peace, Ceebooboo

Hey Vort Remember me, I am Ceebooboo, the one who you mocked and pointed fingers at to start this whole thing. Have you decided to take this up with a lady?? Is that more your comfort level (I noticed you did not respond to my answer to your threats towards me ??) Do you prefer MY WIFE????? Peace,Ceebooboo
-
Hello Vort, First, I am not talking any way to you, I am agreeing with your suggestion that you were a liar in your previous post ( Beacause you are ) As far as your attempt at bullying me and the implied threat, I will simply offer you an enormous  Peace, Ceebooboo

Hello bytor, :) First, thanks for the reply I agree that the Biblical record on the birth of the Savior is accurate enough FOR ALL OF US. ( Should be MORE than enough for us Christ followers ) What puzzles me is the " not sure " of this or " not certain " of that. Then how can you pick the things ( like plan of salvation ) that you DO feel is prophetized accuratly??? Seems VERY VERY strange to say we believe this with all our heart and say we are not sure or it doesn't really matter, they are human, when the INFORMATION comes from the very same mouths. Perhaps, WE SHOULD ALL BASE OUR ETERNAL LIVES IN THE TEACHINGS OF CHRIST HIMSELF WHEN HE WALKED THIS EARTH. Peace, Ceebooboo

" Who ever said this ??? You don't recall any prophet condemning another ??? Please see post 104 ( about three posts ago was the most recent:lol:) Yes, I do consider you a liar so I have indeed taken it with a grain of salt. Peace, Ceebooboo
-
This prophet taught " A " I believe " B " Prophet " C " condemned prophet " A " Some think they will lean toward " C " Others are convinced that " A " was simply not understood Prophet " E " says we are not sure :confused::confused: They were prophets, right???? Peace, Ceebooboo
-
Thanks for the reply, If I may ask a follow up to your post, What is LDS teaching regarding this??? Is there no direction from your current prophet?? Was there teachings from past prophets?? Thanks again, Ceebooboo
-
Hello Faded, Indeed, it is offensive, to say the least. I wonder though, how can so many LDS members seem to disagree on this " teaching " or " not teaching "??? Peace, Ceebooboo
-
Calling you a liar??? Yes No sarcasm?? I STILL don't believe you. No, you shared no thoughts on the topic of the thread, you did mock and point fingers. Peace. Yes that was a sincere wish as evident by my very short responses to your mocking and finger pointing. Peace, Ceebooboo
-
Hello again Vort,:) You wanted to avoid making this a finger pointing exercise ??? I don't believe you. ( I think a re-read of your post is rather clear and mocking some, me included) Enlighten you ??? No, I don't believe you ask in sincerity, rather out of sarcasm. At any rate, I stand by my earlier comment that you not being able to share your thoughts on the topic ( instead of indeed finger pointing ) is a loss for ALL. Peace, Ceebooboo

Hi Vort, :) Good to see you are in good spirits my friend.:) I take it you think I am one of the " sex, ewww yuck " guys. Not really my friend, I am actually an avid fan of " sex ". You seem to have completly missed the point. To suggest this, as you have, shows you have NO IDEA what some of us non LDS believe God and Christ to be. Sorry that you judge and not join the fun of sharing perspectives and beliefs. ( A loss for all involved ) Peace, Ceebooboo

More than fair, Sir :):):):)

Hey Johnny, :) DID A LDS MEMBER JUST TELL ME TO STICK TO THE SCRIPTURES???!!!!!:) Sorry Johnny, I simply could not resist !!:) I hope you took no offense, it was a mere attempt at a little humor in a very in depth thread :). Peace, Ceebooboo

Hey JustAGuy, I would not say it is simply cultural backrounds. Catholics ( and many other Protestant demoninations ) hold the firm belief that Jesus was born of the Virgin Mary by the Holy Spirit and this indeed fullfilled earlier prophetic Scipture. Do you not agree??? The " teaching " ( or maybe not teaching ) of the LDS that Mary and God had sexual relations to concieve The Christ is simply put, ( Sorry ). Sorry again for my , but as I said earlier, this is the first time I have heard this talked about with my many LDS friends. Peace, Ceebooboo
-
Hello Johnny, :) Perhaps that was what he was contributing. If it was then I am still puzzled as to the LDS teaching. If God was once a man, like you and I of an Earth before he became God of our Earth, then he was still God at the time he had realtions with Mary, No??? Geeeeez, ya'll Mormons are straining my cerebelum  Peace, Ceebooboo

Hi again Just_A_Guy :) ( Loved the " hey Ceeboo(boo) you offered ) Thanks for the reply. I can't help but suggest ( no contention desired ): How can something as important of Jesus The Christ's birth NOT have an official teaching from the LDS?? Simply do not get the " maybe " and the " debatable " labels considering the MONUMENTAL TOPIC. Thanks again for the sharing :) Peace, Ceebooboo
-
Hello Just_A_Guy, :) I think you were speaking of other LDS when you say " what bothers us " ?? No ?? I have been enjoying this site for several months and had never heard of this teaching. ( while reading this thread, I am still not sure if it is or is not a teaching of LDS ) To me, this idea of Almighty God having physical relations with Mary is beyond obsurd and indeed is one of the " WAY OUT " things I have heard, to date, from my LDS friends. I have also noted that a previous post indicated that the King Follet Sermon has some teachings regarding this. I have read the King Follet Sermon, and although it teaches things that I simply can not reason, it says nothing about Mary and God having relations. I must say, this thread has confused my already confused mind of the LDS teachings. Peace, Ceebooboo

Hi Newcomer, Great thread !!!!:) The short version as to not completly bore anyone. :) I was a COMPLETE and TOTAL mess in my early 20's to early 30's. ( A REAL BAD path indeed, full of pain, anger, frustration, and most of all a sense of SELF gratification. I began to look into things in my life ( my journey as they say ) and ended up looking into " is there really a God " and all sorts of religions ( Mega Churches, denominations, and all the rest). After a few years of searching every angle I could find I was COMPLETLY convinced that Jesus Christ was indeed who he claimed he was, our savior, loves us all, and that his Church is the very Church he left us with 2,000 years ago ( The Catholic Church ). Furthermore, I found in my journey that many people look to find what " they " like most in deciding where they call home but it is my humble opinion that we do not get to choose that as it has already been chosen for us. It is also interesting to note that I used to be one of those who thought that the Catholic mass was a " boring " " robotic " " non biblical " thing. I was completly wrong!!! The Catholic mass ( CENTERED around the celebration of the Eucharist) is not only SPOT ON with Scripture but it is also the celebration and thanks we offer to our Lord when we partake in the real presence of the last supper. Great thread, look forward to reading other peoples journeys that have brought them a little closer to the Lord of Lords!!!!:) Peace, Ceebooboo

Pam, I am so sorry for your loss. I pray the Lord be near you and yours in this time. God bless, Ceebooboo

My Dear Dear friend bytor, Perhaps we are missing eachother here. I realize he threw some a bone ( I was not judging him nor you ). I was simply wondering what the several Church Fathers ( 1800 years or so ) would have thought of his commentary. ( Nothing more, simply wondering what view they have as they all look down and laugh at us all ):) Peace, Ceebooboo
