  1. I think this is a key point. The world, as described in Genesis 1 & 2 was a creation without death. The earth at that time was not a mortal earth. Death came into the world after Adam & Eve partook of the fruit (Fall of Adam), and this is the place in the time line of the earth that evolution could have been used by God to create the mortal earth. I have an essay that explains this in more detail. Keep in mind that this essay is not presented as doctrine. It is just my attempt to reconcile the Fall of Adam with science. It may be true or it may not be true. It does make sense to me, though. One Mormon's View of the Science -- Religion Debate evolution "fall of adam"
  2. That's one of my favorite hymns! It really expresses my feelings about the Celestial Kingdom!
  3. I've written several essays about conflicts between science and religion. One of the essays gives a way that evolution and the Fall of Adam can be reconciled. That essay can be downloaded from http://www.leigh.org/sciencereligion/Evolution-Fall.pdf for those who might be interested in reading it.
  4. Baptism into the LDS church is required for entrance into the Celestial Kingdom. People who were Evangelicals in mortality but who accepted their proxy baptism are no longer Evangelicals, they are LDS. Thus, by definition only LDS will be in the Celestial Kingdom, including many who were Evangelicals during their mortal life. The statement as given referred to Evangelicals being in the Celestial Kingdom, implying they had gotten to the Celestial Kingdom without baptism.
