  1. I have a question. Those of you who are not LDS, do you believe the bible to be absolutely correct and complete in every way? Is there room for revelation? Interpretation or the possibility that not everything in it is translated correctly? I'm not asking to start anything. I actually don't know, having been LDS my whole life, I'm not sure how other religious people view the bible and ALL of it's passages.
  2. You guys are very funny! Hi Dr. T, I think your brave. I've met many lds counselors/psychologists besides the usual criteria that they not be more mental ill than I am, the reason I choose and lds counselor is that they understand our peculiar mormon culture. For instance, we have a vocabulary all our own, our ideals of Godhood, eteranl families and perfection, our unique way of making ourselves feel guilty, which is oddly similiar to catholics with different consequences, the whole "line of authority" processes, and they must have eaten green jello salad at some point in their life.
  3. Shanstress, That was rude and bound to get people here upset. I think your right, I'm lds and not offended. There are other religions and parts of the world where polygamy is practiced as well. It is also a frequent practice in the bible. I don't see why Mormon's in particular should get a bad name for it or for the disgustingly offensive things some of the so-called mormon polygamists do in the name of polygamy. I don't suppose they will be addressing those issues in the series?
