  1. Dont you have to win the bet first. :shrug
  2. Ok Im glad you can read. Go read 2 Timothy 3:16-17. Then read 2 Peter 1:20-21. Oh wait you have read those verses. You think they are false, gotcha. Well you know what? Listen up because if that isnt true, then Jesus didnt die for me and you. Jesus was just another man who died, no big deal, people die everyday. And since Jesus is God and Jesus was just another man that died, God doesnt exist. That also means God did not create the Earth. Also there is no heaven. Now I dont know if there is a hell or not but there is no heaven. So if I were you I would stop trying to get in because you arent getting in.
  3. yep, just like you have no proof showing Joseph Smith is not a false prophet. Just like you have no proof showing Muhammad and Islam are false. Just like you have no proof that there are 3+ levels of heaven. Just like you have no proof proving the Bible has errors. Just like you cant prove the Earth is millions of years old. Just like you have no proof that humans lived before Adam. Just like you have no proof that the Earth is not the center of the universe. Should I continue?
  4. Exactly. Man got his little pen and paper and physically wrote this stuff down so it was written by men. However, since we both know the Bible is God breathed we know that the Bible is really God written. So since you claim the Bible has errors and we have already established that God is Truth and God is the source of Truth, your claim means the whole entire Bible is false. Not sure what language you speak, but if you can read and understand English, you know this to be true.
  5. Im not sure why some verses are omitted and some versions include those verses. This however does not mean that verse is false. All the other verses you included that had no differences between translations.
  6. This post is so stupid that the only response you get is
  7. well I believe the Bible is final and complete. So anything added after that, such as the Book of Mormon, I believe to be false. Also things like the tearing of the veil signifies we dont need High Priest, prophets, etc telling us what to do and doing it for us. We can go to God ourselves.
  8. have you ever heard of an oxymoron? The Bible is TRUE and the BIBLE has errors do not go together. Hope this helps.
  9. I think you are right. But the problem with Christianity is we dont accept these modern prophets. Do you consider Muhammad a prophet? Who decides who a prophet is? Who decided Joseph Smith was a prophet? I believe we dont need prophets nowadays. Once Jesus died and the veil was torn, anyone could enter the Holy of Holies. Once Jesus died everything changed. We dont need a High Priest of prophet to guide us. We can go to God directly.
  10. In other words what you are saying is this? "RRR1, because you can read, you can tell that those verses mean that the Bible is inerrant and true. Because Im brain washed I will not accept the truth that you have laid in front of me." Snow, prove that Maccabees is in the Bible. Once you do that, I will sell all my posessions. I will then fly to wherever you are in this world and give you all the money I have. Seems like I know more about the Bible than you.
  11. The passage in 2 Corinthians doesnt mean 3 heavens. See my post at the bottom of page 1. The passage in John doesnt mean anything either. If you read it literally all the mansions are in a single "house" In order for you to believe there are more than one heaven, shouldnt Jesus have said I have many mansions in my Father's houses? Its funny how Mormons talk about Christians taking Genesis 1 literally but Mormons take things like this literally instead of taking the whole verse in context. You might have early Jewish teachings and LDS teachings agreeing that there are multiple levels of heaven but the Bible does not agree. And Christians arent Mormons, so why should we fit our beliefs to Jewish or LDS teachings? Wouldnt that make us Jewish or Mormon? So youre pretend comment is pretty ignorant. You are correct that the current earth and current heavens will pass away and a new earth and new heavens will be formed but what does that have to do with levels of heaven??
  12. What concerns me is your belief in a book that you claim to be false. Its almost funny.
  13. John 10:34-35, John 17:17, Titus 1:2, Proverbs 30:5, 1 Corinthians 14:36-37, 1 Thessalonians 2:13 are more verses proving the Scripture is God breathed, inerrant, and is the truth. To me this seems like a TON of errors and to believe a book with this many errors is insane.
  14. Not sure why. JohnnyRudick already posted a verse proving the world to be spherical. Also the 4 corners of the earth could mean North, South, East, and West. Can you provide a link about Galileo? I believe the universe to be finite. Nothing can be bigger than God so the universe has to have an end. In order for it to be proven that the Earth is NOT the center you have to have found the end of the universe and I didnt know this was already proven. So can you please provide a link somewhere to prove both the Earth is not the center and to prove the universe is finite? Thanks.
  15. The first heaven is the Earth's atmosphere. (Genesis 8:2, Deaut 11:11, 1 Kings 8:35), the second heaven is interplanetary and interstellar space (Genesis 15:5, Psalm 8:3, Isaiah 13:10. The third heaven is the realm of God. (1 Kings 8:30, 2 Chronicles 30:27, Psalm 123:1)
  16. The only thing I see here is a couple of verses are either added or omitted in some translations. I will look into this. As far as the rest of them including John 3:16 I have no clue what you are talking about. All the verses look the same to me.
  17. ok I read part of it. Here are some thoughts. First off the article if right about 2 Timothy 3:15 in that Holy Scriptures talks about the OT. However verse 16 they have wrong. Grammatically similar Greek constructions (Romans 7:12, 2 Corinthians 10:10, 1 Timothy 1:15, 1 Timothy 2:3, and 1 Timothy 4:4) argue that the translation "All Scripture is given by inspiration" is accurate. 2 Peter 3:15-16 says that the NT is identified as Scripture. Under the Geography, Mark and Luke probably say Gadarenes because "country of" refers to the general region of Gersa and was under the jurisdiction of the city of Gadara. Under misquoted Scripture, the quote was under Zechariah, but the Hebrew canon was divided into 3 sections, Law, Writings, and Prophets (Luke 24:44). Jeremiah came first in the order of the prophetic books so the Prophets were sometimes collectively called by his name. Im not sure what the Mark1:2 is about. Mark 1:2 is quoting Isaiah 40:3 as well as Malachi 3:1 . Matthew 3:3, Luke 3:4, and John 1:23 only quote Isaiah. So since Mark is from two sources that is why he put "The Prophets" instead of Isaiah. Under resurrection difficulties, there were most likely 2 angels. Matthew and Mark probably only mention one because they concentrate on the one that spoke. As far as missing books, these books that were mentioned are non-canonical, but reliable historical records that the writer used. God's Spirit protected the Bible from error and omitted these. We can go back to 2 Timothy 3:16-17 and 2 Peter 1:20-21. I cant touch on every subject because it would take way too long. But of these, I see no error and no problems with the Bible.
  18. wow that is long. Let me read this and get back with you tomorrow. Its almost midnight here and getting late. Thanks.
  19. Sorry Johnny I havent been ignoring you on purpose but can you give me those examples again. I must have missed them. Thanks.
  20. you have yet to identify an error. And you wont find one, so if I were you I would spend time doing something else rather than looking.
  21. Im Baptist but how is that relevant to what you believe?
  22. The Bible doesnt need to Book of Mormon. The Bible can defend itself. Im not saying the Book of Mormon is false but that the Bible doesnt the Book of Mormon in order to be true.
  23. so if one version uses one word and another version uses a synonym of the same word its an error? What school did you go to to learn English?
  24. Trying to understand the difference between beliefs. Why do Mormons believe in 3 levels of heaven? I think its 3, is that correct? I once heard yall get that from 1 Corinthians 15 but Im not seeing it. If someone could elaborate on this I would appreciate it. And for the record, I think Catholics believe in purgatory. i think that is ludicrous and is not supported by the Bible. Thanks.
