  1. I am reading a book right now called 'The Civility Solution:What to Do When People Are Rude' It's a very insightful book and i'de reccomend it to anyone and everyone - as we all have to deal with rude people form time to time.
  2. We gave our boys coloring books and books to draw in during sacrament. When they got loud or too playful, then on of us would take them out - without their books - and make them sit without anything to do. They soon learned that they had 2 choices during sacrament 1.sitting in the lobby with nothing to do 2.sitting in sacrament where they could draw or color as long as they were quiet. They always chose sacrament, and the longest we ever had to be out in the lobby with them was 10 minutes.
  3. Well, I don't have anything witty to say here, but i do wanna thank you all for entertaining me here today. You reminded me of what i love most about this church ------- GOOD CLEAN FUN !
  4. Some really good stuff here, Personally i think the church should offer parenting classes. most of us parent the way we were parented. I broke the cycle of yelling after my first child- who was 3 at the time - started yelling at me in church.
  5. originally posted by mightynancy : Don't let the other girls get in the way of your dreams and goals. They are not in charge of your salvation - you are the one making choices for yourself. Ask yourself if your choices bring you closer to Christ...if they do, you're on the right track. Do your choices prepare you to make and keep sacred covenants? If they do, you're on the right track. The rest is fluff. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ I agree with what mightynancy has to say. Just remember, there are always going to be people who think they know what is best for you, no matter where you go in this world. When i first joined the church i thought i had to strongly consider everything everyone was telling me to do, like: who to marry. when to marry, how many kids i should have etc.. etc.... I made a huge mistake in listening to the advice on who i should marry and when. You know better than anyone else what is best for you. As long as your living the gospel principals and you are a kind loving decent human being and you do not neglect you duties - what ever thy may be- then you will be fine. Oh and by the way i know 2 men in the church who stay at home while their wives go out to work because they are better with the kids. Whatever works right?
  6. Are you asking me if i'm Holly or if the dog is Holly. A friend emailed me this picture a while ago and i thought i would use it. I hope I haven't broken any copyright laws. I guess i better change it.
  7. I think if i hadn't of found the Mormon Religion, i probably would of found my way back to the catholic church, which i strayed from at the age of 16.
  8. i just wish they could both win.
