  1. LDS for example, might pray (as Traveler is saying) and receiving confirmation for "X" or be lead in a certain way while Christians on the other hand may be praying about the same thing and feel they are receiving the opposite yet they both have the worldview/belief that they are praying to the "right God."

just a reminder that us LDS peoples are Christians, as we believe in Jesus Christ as the resurrected Son of God.

  2. There is a song and I don't know the name of it or who it is by.....but I can tell you it has these words.......Christmas starts after halloween with a buffet in between and it isn't over until you throw away the tree....it is really funny...........

I listen to Christmas music after thanksgiving......like all kinds.....this year I am going to get a Christmas Cd by the Trans Siberian Orchestra.....hopefully I spelled it right.......they are awesome

    suddenly it's christmas....by little feet

I'm in the High Priest Group.....you get kicked in there when you turn 45....it's fun, we have a place to park our walkers and we get to sleep and stuff! I'm in charge bringing the Geritol!

it's not automatic at 45...ive known many elders over 45, and many HP under 45

  4. You can't pray in sacrament??

    Woops!

I do... and I think I'll do it again!!! :o

    Apostle Knight quote

"You won't be excommunicated unless you're unrepentant. If you recognize what you did was wrong, and feel godly sorrow about it, and have determined not to repeat that mistake, you'll likely be disfellowshipped for around a year. I'm sure you know that means you can't give talks in church, teach classes or pray in church. It's so you can have time to solidify your resolve, but your bishop and stake pres. would explain it far better than I can."

    marsha quote

"I Know about the giving talks, holding callings, withholding being able to give blessings, but Not be able to PRAY in Church?

Whats up with that? Why can't you pray in Church? That is one of the place I would think you can. Do you mean GIVE prayers in Church? "

claification....when you are on probation, disfellowshipped, or excommunicated you can't give the opening or closing prayer in meetings, or lead other prayers.

  5. after 20 yrs of retail management i finally got out!! I now work for the largest company in the world in the credit card dept and only work 40 hrs a week and no weekends instead of 80 a week and every day. nobody ever calls me when i am not at work. i discovered this neat thing called "sick time" where they pay you to stay home if you are sick instead of requiring you to work sick.

my wife works from home as a medical transcriptionist. she also has a new venture called www.effervescentdesigns.com where she makes charts for counted cross stitching.

we share in taking care of out 2 children 3yr and 10 months
