Isn't the Book of Mormon a copyrighted trademark title? Why don't they just sue the producers for copyright infringement.

Okay but how would they have the teachings of the Bible and the Book of Mormon on other planets? It would make absolutely no sense at all. They would have to have their own doctrines but the same Father.

Well the thing that is of the most importance is that God the Father is the supreme creator so there is no teaching that he was once being led by another God even if he was a man. The Bible and Bok of Mormon don't exactly deny the existence of other planets, but they can't have our same teachings because Christ was here on Earth, not on another planet.

We don't really know the validity of this rumor because there are some sources that say prophets gave sermons saying he was once a man but they aren't verified sources of our church and it isn't part of the really important documents such as the BOM, D&C, POGP, or the Articles of Faith. There is a difference between individual teachings from the prophets and revelations from the lord. However, I don't know if Jesus had progression either other than his progression to resurrection. He was born with perfection and was the son of God throughout his earthly life and still is. So even if God was a mortal man at one time, he still is the supreme creator and didn't have a father before him which is a crap theory that a lot of anti-Mormons claim.

It specifies in 2 Nephi that many Gentiles reject the Book of Mormon saying we need no more Bible. Did they know that the stories of the Bible were being written at that time? I looked up where the term Bible came from and it literally means "set of books" so it would make sense at the time they were writing the plates that they would get a message from the lord saying that their writings would be rejected based on the fact that one nations history was already being recorded, but did they know that at the time?

Ya but the missionaries don't go to other churches and make jokes about their religion. I don't think this is the same thing.

What does God need to progress at?

I don't understand why people can't just leave us alone.

Well they claim to have grown up with a lot of Mormon friends. I'd be surprised if they still had any of them.

How does it not make us look bad? They state our beliefs but make them sound all made up and call us dumb for believing them.

Well when the soundtrack is available I'll definitely listen to some of the songs. However, I am going to have a bit of a hard time believing that they are going to show the slightest sign of respect here.

I think we all should become vegetarian. Back in the times of the Bible they sacrificed animals so they could eat but today it is just slaughtering so we can have food that we don't need just because it tastes good.

I heard people talk about Joseph Smith's teaching of God once being a mortal man on another planet but I never found any information on that or understood where our beliefs come from him being the supreme creator and also a mortal? LDS.org says nothing about God being a man on another planet so if Joseph Smith really did teach that I don't understand why.

Why does this always have to be so confusing? If they are three separate characters why couldn't they just have made them three separate Gods?

So we are all over the page now. So it all comes down to this. Are we monotheistic or polytheistic? Are the father, son, and holy ghost one God or three Gods?

Congrats. I hope you enjoy it. I'm not capable of serving a mission but it is great other people are.

Well excuse me for asking other people questions. I just like to get more than one perspective.

The Davinci Code was also meant to be all made up. Matt and Trey claim this is all going to be about stuff that we really believe is true.

Once it gets closer to opening on Broadway I'll listen to some of the songs from it to see what kind of humor it has. If they respect our beliefs, they have a frieghtening way of showing it.

The problem is the South Park writers started out with Mormons by making a song about their believes and calling them and the people that believe them dumb. The concept of the musical itself isn't bad, it is the people that are involved with it that make me prejudiced from the start about it. The story is about a couple men from Salt Lake being sent to Africa and finding out they can't offer these people anything they think they really need when it comes down to it which could be funny because jokes about missionaries coming to your door when their timing is horrible happens a lot in real life and making fun of the way missionaries act all the time would seem like all in good fun, but what they do is start out with small jokes and build up into offensive and insulting remarks.
