Whose wife? Careful with the answer: He's watching.

Happy Birthday to a girl who knows where she's going and willing to get there fast! Kay

There are many reasons to dislike both Bush and Kerry... The most fair (and wise) part of this this thread, in my opinion. I commend your reality check, Dravin. Thank you. Kay

It was easier for Mr Bush to join the Texan National Guard. After all he knew where Texas was... Good one, Matt! :)

Outshined, I just noticed your signature quote: great choice. It lends weight to the concept of truth being more strange than fiction. P.S. Very nice to see you still hanging around this neck of the woods.

You can pirate yourself across the internet with avatars, jd, and still I'm your self-appointed Visiting Teacher. We met at Notes. Cathected to my duty, I am, and once again reporting for duty!By the way, you never did say how that first batch of cookies hit your taste buds. [Come on: tossing them aside months past on the way to Disneyland or feeding them to the neighbors' dogs don't count.] Fess up, dude.

What would it mean if I prayed to not lose an eye, but I lost one anyways? Heck if I know what that prayer would mean to you, bat, ole buddy... But I'm miffed all the way up to the artificial elastic waist of my pretty pink and green flowered knickers to think you was funning at me. I imagined you sanding an artificial eye. All the while you were laughing, my wonderings could have been on bird's eye maple for my kitchen remodel. Seriously: you skeered me. Better to be skeered in fun than to not take you seriously should the circumstance arrive. Yep. Kay

Yes. Many possess the heart and soul and are cathected to the profession (to "serve and protect"). This is where you appear to be losing my confidence, and we may part ideas. It could be that I'm misunderstanding your sentiment, within this limiting medium? Help me out.

Hey, what may I say: "It's my job to mock, name-call and then slip out quietly in the night to perk some coffee." Ah, heck, since I don't do the repent thang, may I promise to never again call you "cute" and "fun" and/or to giggle at your scampish behavior. Deal? Friends again? Bwhahahahaha...

I'm perplexed. I don't imagine someone having exited an academy or contemplating a transfer from one jurisdiction to another feeling LDStalk holds the key. Talking about it with virtual individuals?Typically, young officers and re-hires enter their Board straight and narrow, no worry. Just anxious--yes. Questioning civilians so that you may answer correctly to another civilian doesn't cut it, in my opinion. Just a thought. Your mention of Affirmative Action is another flag to me. Unfortunately, you may in fact be for real and I am not among those on the Board to share this information with any Department considering you as a new hire. Pity.

Ya forgot honest, Ray. I can mimic a few words from Dallin Oaks in my sleep: "It was not a truthful statement."Fibbers need not apply.

Well, sg, if it's "people like [you]" who choose the President, so laughingly, no wonder many tout we're in this dark state of affairs. LOL backatcha, sport. Not.

One may validate Christianity through sincere actions, just as you write: "...believe being tolerant and accepting..." It is not a question but a vow and a conviction, yes? For brothers and sisters who honorably love but disagree, I understand. For those who disagree and have yet to get past earlier teachings, let us understand. We all wish understanding, right? Maybe that's the greater point. Kay

No need to wonder, Rodney,I am the mistaken zygote left at the wrong planet; English is not considered by me as my primary language. Kay Kay

Ah, yes: the "different Jesus" debacle, fer fright! I gave up on debating that point, PD. ...couldn't get through to a conclusion--kept asking for Polaroids of the two Jesuses for comparison, and, "lo, no takers." Many claim a true Jesus and forget a council at Nicea... Still, dear Sir Duck, it appears you and MIL both regard the others' spirituality as a bit thin. Hence my comment about being mortal. At the end of the day, I'm willing we work to look at Christianity as living its principles, not through defining it. Doing our best or worst on our best or worst days is enough. And may our mindfulness perceive that inlaws ain't outlaws, except for those moments they'd do more well on another planet (kidding!). Blessings, Kay

PD,Am I to guess you wonder MIL disrespects your Church of choice? Ah, it happens. But do your words about her own Church of choice reflect that which you despise? Shrug. Apologies, Sir Duck. Could be I see pot and kettle where only tin-foil hats around a blazing fire exist. Respectfulness of spiritual paths moves in more than one direction. Okay, maybe sometimes in one direction--but is it supposed to be a contest? ;-) Not to worry: I gift myself this reminder often--that we're all perfectly imperfect, so often cathected to personal choices and views at the expense of others' and others... What a stinker being mortal, huh? God Bless, Kay Kay
