  4. Okay EXTREME disagreements. Okay EXTREME disagreements. Just to add to this. I'm happy to see people of many different faiths come to this website and post. We just all need to remember to be tolerant of other beliefs. EXTREME disagreements are so unnecessary. Yeah, they're a waste of time. Why argue when we could be friends? We could have fun, laugh and be joyful...

yeah that would be good I want to get my brother something - he is 26 but even so he is much younger at heart. Also my daughter is 3.5 going on 15 (put it this way she wanted an ipod and a digital camera for Christmas, has her own style lol gets embarrased if Mum is not stylish enough:)) we are having a lot of teen style battles - what gets you to listen to your Mum? Charley Bands. Flyleaf (rock) Jump5 (pop) Skillet (screamo/emo/rock) Tobymac (rap) But does he like rock? Or more contemporary? Check out www.musicfaith.com They have lots of good stuff! I usaly listen to me mum if I think it's my idea.... Yes, Us teens can be quite ego-tistical... Some of the battle is probably pressure to be "cool." She Public school? Compramise! Ex: She likes rock. Most rock is fowl. Solution? Find some clean rock groups. There's plenty....
  13. Heard of SonicFLOOD Like Mercyme, LOVE their "Homesick" And Jeremy Camp.... Saw him at winterjam... Heard of MWS... You heard of Flyleaf or Krystal Meyers?
  14. I love my grandparents. We adopted 3.... Grandpa John Grandpa Bill Grandma Carol G-pa John is a barber, I have known him since I was born. He has been a true blessing, he's always there for me. I remember the summers when we'd head to his shop for Dad's hair cut and while they visited we'd sell the black berrys that grew out back. His shop is heaven on earth.... It's like the old time ones, his friends come and go, bringing all sorts of news and gossip with them... G-pa Bill is awesome too, we've known him since a bit after my Dad passed away. His wife was my Mom's home teacher. He's a biker, he acts tough but all it takes to break the mask is a simple "I love you." G-ma Carol... She's so much like me it's not funny! She's had cancer and beat it, that was one of the scaryest times in my life! She's super funni and loving... Then there's my father's Dad...Clark. He is super funny and very good with words. He is a non-member but has a great respect and love for our religioun... He's even cut out some of the coffie! One cup a day now! I can see him joining..if not in this life, the next. Yes, grandparents are wonderful...........

    Homeschooling

No, I am not a teacher. I am a parent who values education. The values that I find in the Public School system are accountability, responsibility, dependability and honesty. I value the people who spend 4+ years in college majoring in education. Their sacrifices must be validated because they usually humble their material quest during those years. Public School is not a position where the education staff will earn a great deal of money but feels rewarded through their service in teaching others. The gift of sharing knowledge is an unconditional love. It is true that you learn in PS, but it's what you learn..... All I have heard from my PS friends is who is dating whom, who's gay, what's "Hott" and what's "Cool." The pressures to stray from what we know to be right is so great that it's takling it's toll. Teachers violating their students, Students being violent twords one another... I do think with a greater effort this could be corrected but our world is going down fast.... It's just gonna get worse. In one of my school books it talks about everyone having a "Model" of how our world works, we are constently changing our Models and the way we see things. But the goverment wants us to conform to the ways they think that things should work, so they start us off at an early age. Telling us how things work.... Example... My Mom was in her science class were the teacher was explaining the theroy of evalotion, the teacher siad that the reason for Girrafe's long necks was that the trees had gotton higher.. My mother had an queston so she asked.. "So if I want my kids to have long arms, I just let them hang on the monkey bars all day?" She was thrown out... I have also heard many more storys like that... That's my opinion as a homeschooler. I really didn't mean to offend so I am sorry if I did! :)
