God asked for a plan in the pre-mortal existence and one of the plans would have included knowing every outcome. This was an option but was rejected. When the plan to allow free will was chosen it required the Redeemer and thus the plan of salvation came to be. God's choice to allow us the right to choose meant He chose to not know. Freewill in action. Still, I have no doubt that He knows the millions of outcomes I could choose and does His best to entice me to make the right choices so I end up where He knows I want to be. Rather than limit God's powers in anyway, freewill adds another layer to help us understand His glory: all-loving.
