  1. Happy New Year from Utah! I love you guys! Lona
  2. Thank you very much Adomini. I just felt more comfortable posting it here than anywhere else.
  3. I love LDS talk. It's always fun to meet new people, especially all the amazing people here. This site has helped me think more about my beliefs and my relationship with my Heavenly Father. It's also helped me to share my testimony and think more about that as well! Thankyou everyone for being so amazing!
  4. If anyone would like to supply a spiritual story or their testimony I can share with my seminary class, I would appreciate it.
  5. The person below me can speak more than one language.
  6. I decided to put this in the youth board because I am a youth and I think it would be cool to hear from other people around my age about what they believe. On Friday, I challenged my seminary class to share their testimonies with someone, so I guess I'd better take my own challenge. I really struggled when I was younger with knowing whether or not I had a testimony. I couldn't conciously accept what I already knew in my heart. I think I struggled because I didn't have any sense of self worth. I didn't see how there could be a God of Everything who could still love Me. For Myself. It took alot of time and a few Very patient friends, but now I can say I Know my Father in Heaven loves me. I know that he exists. I know that Joseph Smith was called by him to restore His true church upon the earth. I know that Christ is His son. He is my older brother, my supreme example, my role model, my Savior and King. He made it possible for me to attain celestial glory. He loves me So much that he was willing to bear my pains. I'm so Grateful to Him. I love my Savior with all my heart. I have a testimony of Gratitude. I didn't fully realize how thankful I am for some things and some people until Brother Read challenged us to say thank you to some specific people in our lives. I love writing thank you notes to people! Showing gratitude invites the spirit to be in your life. It opens you up to more blessings. I also know that the Lord hears and answers prayers. He has helped me through So much in my life. I'm grateful for the Gift of the Holy Ghost. I'm so haapy to be a member of God's true church. It has blessed my life in countless ways. And I'm thankful for my seminary teacher and class.
  7. I think Brother Dorsey pretty much nailed it. Bro. D, you just became my hero of the week, congrats.
  8. I might be looking into Majoring in Secondary Education when I go to college full time, since I decided getting my pilot's licence prolly wouldn't be condusive to raising a family. I think I'd like to teach highschool english or something special like creative writing or poetry. Or! I could be a full-time scouter! That would be AMAZING! But I'm pretty sure they don't have a school with a Scouting Major right now.
  9. I believe that if you put your trust in God, you'll find happiness. Maybe it would be agonizing for their families, but in the end their testimonies of God, and of what their loved ones had died for would be strengthend. Just like the Donner party of the LDS pioneers were never sorry for their trials as it brought them closer to their Heavenly Father, I think they would not regret the strength they recieved from their loved one's sacrifice.
  10. Thank you Elphaba. I really enjoyed reading that. I personally know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints Is the only church with authority given to us from God. Heavenly Father literally speaks through our Prophet.
  11. In my own humble opinion. No. Just close.
  12. I think you just have to move past it. Sort of realize it's insignificance. Maybe he hurt you. Maybe it hurt bad. But eventually You Die. What then? Will you have spent your life bitter about this? Don't you think you could have done much more interesting things with your time? I don't know if I'm putting it well, but I think you just need to look at it from another point of view. Put yourself in their shoes. Or better yet, your saviors. Whether you like it or not, that person is your brother, another child of God. Your Savior loves them too. You've made mistakes, so have they. God loves you both equally. Maybe you should look at the act as a little tumble that person had on the road back home. But now they've pulled themselves back up and are continuing to walk. Can you respect that?
  13. Please please please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I adore ballet!
