  1. Sounds exciting Douglas. 727 here told you the most, I donthave anything to add. Just want to wish you good time in finding more truths!

I remember a lady I once wisited with the missionaries... she was excpecting some kind of miracle or some kind og really strong feeling that would tell her the Church is true. She was dessapointed as she did not feel anything extraordianry. She did feel good and she did feel the spirit... but she excpected even more... she become as we call them a pinsevenn... they have these fallings and stuff... Nicky Cruise ....

I searched for a few years different religions, found nothin... after some 10 years missionaries knocked on my door... From their 2nd meeting with me I KNEW the Church was true!

  2. Does everything in the system go wild IF you are related to FOUR lines? Like I have 4 parents..my physical and my adoptive ones... so does the systen go mad if I appear in both with same name?? My physical parents gaveme an other name then.... then it was changed by my adoptive parents...but the problem is also my kids.... these two women who have different names clain them as her own!! Hmm messy!

I am not sealed to any family yet and I do not knop where I would like to be sealed to either...

  5. Yes, there is more than enough brownies for everyone. When I make the stuff I always get carried away. I make one pan for me, and then one pan for every two people. Then after they are all done I remember I can no longer have the brownies. So it is FRUIT or vegies for me! I do love fruit dipped in chocolate too. Actually I mean drowned in chocolate!

I would LOVE to be drowned in chocholate!! Can I be with please please... I promise to try to be good!!

Hi Elphie... and everyone else, nice to meet you! Hang on maybe one day you suddenly get the idea! (is that a warning or words of couraging ...your choise)

I got too much work these days.. not much time for LDS forums.... :(

  6. Welcome Maya! My heart welled up as I read your words!! I have been where you are and I know the pain! I did not stay with my husband, I give you credit for sticking it out! I took my kids and left. I am now raising them alone. We all suffer trials in this life, but it is only a blip on the screen. Eternity will make all this seem like child's play. I know that sounds like a cliche, but really...it WILL be worth it all! And this life is nothing compared to eternity!!!

Yes Y.... Eternity will make it seem childs play..... But it sure takes a LOOOONG time.... We are all in the Church now... except my girls.... one of which just wisited us :o So the days of wonders is not over ...

Thanks to everyone for your inputs.

  7. I am beginning a comparative study on the Book of Isaiah.

What I am comparing is the KJV, NASB, Torah (Tanakh), Dead Sea Scroll- The Great Isaiah Scroll and the LXX. Right now, I am just creating a chart where it compares each verse with one another.

I am not sure what I will find, but my question is, has anyone done this? If so, what were the end results? Any resources that one has used?

    Thank you,

Interesting.. let us know what you find!

  8. Nice. :D I wish I could get more books on this. I have one book, but cant remember what was the name and it is in my sons room... dont want to disturb him now ... I hope he sleeps... There are some photos in it too. Have to look it up tomorrow.

I think you two are pretty close to the sollution area.

Can you explain me WHY none of the scolars outside the Church seem to take seriously the evidence of the BM.

I remember having heard that lately they have found lines of bodies as if they had been executed, just around the years when Jesus was crusified. This was somewhere in south of Mexcico.

  9. I quess you could say I am in to writting... in spite of all my mistakes... :D

I am also in to music big time... Jenny Jordan Frogley, Katherine Nelson, Felicia Sorenson, Brett Raymond, Jessie Clark Funk, Kapp Perry, Osmonds and many others.

I am also in to pedagogy....

I liked to play Age of empires..... but not for long... hated it that as I finally got build a beautiful land they came and killed me!! Even though I was very peacefull.... I just tok a few of them....

My sons are in to Anime: Bleach, Natuto, Claymore, Full Metal Alchemist, Death Note, Devil may cry, Baccamp..... if I managed to read them right..

Games the 15 plays: Warcraft 3, and the older 17 has played many years Counter strike.

We all like action movies. We just went to movies to see Rushour 3 ... my hubby likes Seagalls films. I like mortal Combat, we like karate films.

  10. Charity says: That area now is called America's Breadbakset with a highly productive farming industry.

Isnt that kind of funny... and befor a waist land.... I wonder if we ever get something going in Sahara....

Poulsenll, this is so interestin I think... I wish I could join this hunt on the spot.... not just by computer but being there myself. Maybe after a few years when I am on my pension... :P At the moment I really cant think of any better than your assumptions.

I remember I read somewhere that Ainsworth was given some stones that had writting... and how he tried to get someone to find out the age of the stones and other stuff, and about a native that had many things in his position, but who died... I wonder where that story was... have not found it again...

I think it is like with the indians ... they do NOT tell everything they know to a white man. My best friends son was on mission and there his missionleader had been once in contact with some indians and they were allowed to go to ameeting of the medicinemen... which is not often for white men... they told about mormonsbook and suddenly the indians began to talk and argue a lot ... with their own language. Then they agreed to tell them a bit of their old knowledge... which was Mormonsbook told from the point of Lamanities.... Interesting!

    Ned to study more....

  11. I never liked the idea of Nephites living close to the big lakes in Nothern America. I just cant get the BM happenings to that area. Was there 2 or one Cumorah... it really does not matter. I think it was quite human for the early saints to think, that BMs happenings happened there where they were. I cant find enough proof for that.

I been also thinking, that maybe most of the land dissapeared under water and in the earthquakes, and thus one can not find anything.

I suppose it says wilderness not deseret in: alma 22:30,32 Mormon 3:5, Eter 7:6, Al 16:11?

Was there any deseret mentionet in the scriptures... I always kind of tought of the big deseret north mexico... meaning a really dry place? Or are all the places more like wildernesses?

When Lehi landed with his boat... they came to a place that seemed to have a lot of everything a man needed at the time. AtleastLehi already then said it was the best of all lands.... or was that only a prophesy? Is it Berliz fruitful? ? Bountiful was also a place with good vegetation and a lot of food wasnt it?

  12. I had difficulties with the word wilderness... it sounded to me like a deseret.. so I did not think there would be any mountins... but that sounds very clair about the mountinridge.... Is the walkingdistances too possible? How fast did they walk? There where it says about the distances.

My first tought was that the narrow neck would have been Panama.... but I suppose you have good reasons why not?

Uh Have to work prepare an evening meetingin my work... will be around later or tomorrow...

  13. Hi Poulsell

I love this subject. I do have to confess I feel very much a novise here... I was thinking as an answer, as I red your question, that we have to read from the book of Mormon about the georgraphical places and hints. I also tought, what do they call a sunrise... how big an angle does that mean? Like here in Scandinavia it is a very large angle.... so it is many degrees difference to where the sun rises or sets in the winter and where in the Summer.... I have no idea of how it is in South America, are the angles (not angels) as big there?

I also wonder if the earth has turned any since that day or continent moved so that the possibility of fex. south is even bigger...

Like I told you before your site is very interesting. I keep studying... maybe I get it someday... Now I ahve to go to sleep... too late now....
