Biden did not step away from the campaign benevolently though he claimed to in his staged speech this evening. He was forced out by opposition in his own party and donors cutting off new funding. They've rendered him a lame duck (different bird) after serving exactly 3.5 years (and lame enough that NORAD had to intercept a first ever combination of Russian and Chinese bombers near Alaska whose arrival coincided with his speech). When has a party done that to their own incumbent president? He may still be in office, but his political power appears finished.

Rush didn't miscount the feathers. His interpretation in the audiobook around 2016 was that that little feather 3 was Trump, 4 his VP who would be sworn in after Trump's demise and that VP would in turn have a short term. 5 and 6 would possibly be the Speaker of the House and President Pro Tempore of the Senate. All 4 could be impacted by a terror attack at an event such as the State of the Union address. Of course it hasn't played out that way. Trump left Washington DC early skipping Biden's inauguration. The Constitution has the office starting at 12:00 PM, but Biden was sworn in (took the oath/made the presidential covenant) around 11:52 AM so just 8 minutes early....maybe that counts.
