  1. What you experienced is called an illusion. I had too many of those!
  2. Are there any LDS, Mormon stand up comedians? I'm a big fan of stand up comedy. Some of my all time favorite comedians include Chris Rock, Katt Williams, George Lopez, Carlos Mencia,.... but I'm interested in knowing if they are any LDS comedians. I always enjoy a good laugh.
  3. Real love is unconditional and loving someone isn't about becoming too emotionally attached to them. Perhaps he's telling the truth and he can't spent much time with you or perhaps he has lost interest in the relationship. It's hard to fall out of love the first time because it only hits you really hard the first time but the next time you fall in love again you know what to do to avoid all the discomfort that comes with a broken heart. You said that you're tired of it and don't want to deal with it anymore. You need to worry about your feelings and move on. Perhaps not seeing him anymore would benefit both of you. You feel frustrated because he doesn't have time to spent with you. He feeling guilty for constantly hurting you. You can fall in love more than once. Sometimes in a romantic relationship one person falls in love while the other doesn't-it happens. Pray about it and think about it before making a decision. It's up to you. Is it worth you crying every night and wait till he calls you? Or is it better to just move on and fall in love again? The choice is yours and I know that it is easier said then done.
  4. "Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again." Matthew 7:1-2 I used to believe that evil people existed, but not anymore. I haven't done any major offenses but I've sinned before and done things that were wrong so who the heck am I to judge anyone? No one!
  5. I'll check out 2 Nephi 31-33 some time and let you know what I think.
  6. Thank you for that.

    UFC and MMA

I can't stand UFC, MMA...can't stand it! I love boxing and I even train(not trying to become an amateur boxer or professional boxer) I just can't stand watching it. I've tried before but I perfer boxing over MMA.
  8. I'm inactive right now and my testimony wasn't as strong as I once thought. I have a friend who I view as a father figure, who is a former bishop and he and I have long talks about the gospel. You can't look at it logically, you just can't. Some stories in the scriptures sound bogus and made up but I guess I have to trust the words that are written in the scriptures and then I'll be able to believe. I'll be honest, I admire a lot teachings of the Mormon church, like the Word of Wisdom and the 13 articles of faith. Other chruches sell hope and the LDS doesn't. Everything about it is perfect expect for it's members, they're human-beings with flaws and short comings. I'm not looking for advice. I just figured that the only way that I'm going to believe in God, in the book of Mormon and really accept Jesus Christ as my savior, it's going to be by trusting the words written in the scriptures. I don't think that God and his son are going to appear to me like they did with Joseph Smith. I would really like that but it's all done by faith. Thank you.
  9. I wasn't sure who you were asking this question but I'll answer it. Anything considered evil or sinful. & I came to the conclusion that I wasn't a clone of Jesus Christ. I've stolen before when I was a kid, I've lied before, in some cases I've offended people withtout trying to, I've even been arrested over some dumb stuff and most people that personally know me will probably describe me as nice.
  10. Perhaps he's a Republican. I, myself vote Democrat.
  11. I just finish reading a few articles on Ted Bundy, perhaps to many of you he may be the personification of "evil." Supposedly he converted to Christianity. Many defined him as a sociopath even former FBI profiler Robert K. Ressler called Bundy an animal. Honestly, who in their right mind kills someone they don't even know? You don't read about serial killers very often in the newspapers and when we do they tend to shock us. The man was indeed a monster but above all he was crazy IMHO.
  12. Maybe!
  13. Who are famous bad people that you've heard of? Adolf Hitler, perhaps? We all sin, this is why Jesus Christ gave his life to save the world, isn't it?
  14. ANTISOCIAL PERSONALITY, SOCIOPATHY, AND PSYCHOPATHY! People who suffer from these disorders, something must be wrong with them. Antisocial personality disorder - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
  15. "So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her." John 8:7
  16. I have but I also learned that I wasn't an actual "saint." We all do bad things, some do bad things that are unforgivable while most just commit minor offenses.
  17. I've been wondering for quite some time and wanted to know the opinion of members of the LDS church on this. Is there really such thing as "bad" people? I think bad people don't exist because we all make mistakes. Of course, some do "bad things" more often than others but that doesn't mean that they're bad people, IMHO. People cheat on their spouses all time, lie, take advantage of others, steal,...at least that's what I see everyday and when I say "people" I'm referring to the whole world. Not all police officers do what they're supposed to, some break the law and even abuse their authority, are they bad people? Not all Latter-day Saints are striving their very best to live the gospel teachings, does that make them bad? No! I think that it's absurd and naive to look at the world in black and white with no shades of grey. Don't the scriptures say that God loves the sinner but not the sin. Any thoughts?
  18. I'm not the kind of guy who takes pride in crying or likes to admit it but a movie that really touched me was Million Dollar Baby. The movie is so sad yet a must see movie. When I read the reviews on it some people complained that it was too depressing, too negative, and too "true". I absolutely love it! It got 4 academy awards. I strongly recommend that others watch this movie. YouTube - Million Dollar Baby Theatrical Trailer
  19. Wow! It sort of like having a felony. It's taken very seriously. I need to hang out with members of the church more often. Most people that I know see having sex as something normal. If you haven't been sexually active within six months and you're single, people will look at you funny-not LDS people.
  20. "I hated every minute of training, but I said, ''Don't quit. Suffer now and live the rest of your life as a champion.'' "He who is not courageous enough to take risks will accomplish nothing in life." Muhammad Ali
  21. I like that! Thanks.:)
  22. Then i have felt it many times while reading the scriptures.
  23. I have felt "peace" while reading the BOM and trying to find out whether it was true or not. Thanks for making that clear.
