hordak Posted June 30, 2008 Report Posted June 30, 2008 I think it is sad. “However, the judge has ruled that in speeding cases it is the law of the land that matters, not the law of physics. “Maybe it is time that we left physics in the classroom and allowed cameras to get on with the job of reducing death and injuries on our roads.” Seems to say Don't let that pesky science get in the way. Hemidakota Posted June 30, 2008 Report Posted June 30, 2008 LOL....there was an incident that happen in Phoenix Arizona when a camera on a local freeway claimed to clocked a car doing 136-MPH in a 65-MPH zone. However, the motorist being smart, knew his car cannot even begin to reach that level speed not only do to the speed limiter but significantly under power for a small sedan. Camera are not always accurate and it is nothing to do with the law of Physics. Quote

He decided to be a wise guy and sent a picture of 2 20 dollar bills to the court house. They responded by sending him a picture of handcuffs. He payed:lol: Quote

Bookmeister Posted June 30, 2008 Report Posted June 30, 2008 (edited) Okay, let me get this straight. In England, if you contest a claim by the police that you did something wrong, you will be severely punished. Hmmm, sounds kinda like a load of squit to me. Of course, that's England, which is quickly on it's way to becoming another 3d world county. Edited June 30, 2008 by Bookmeister typos Quote
Hemidakota Posted July 1, 2008 Report Posted July 1, 2008 Being an Engineer by trade, testing out the accuracy of the camera would be my first choice of attack. Though, the problem here as you stated, no matter what, the government is never wrong...this is a serious problem. Quote
