SteveMitton Posted August 25, 2008 Report Posted August 25, 2008 First let me introduce myself with the bio from my website.Steven R. Mitton Oakley, Idaho, United States Steve is a veteran of the radio biz since 1979. He's married to the lovely former Kazuko Tsuyuki and has 4 great kids; Aaron (and Jennifer), Adam (and Ailene), Stephanie (and Travis, and of course, the worlds cutest granddaughter, Naella), and Maverick. He is an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and a descendant of its founders. Steve served a mission for the LDS Church from 1976~1978 in Tokyo, Japan and lived in Japan until 1986, where he hosted a syndicated radio show called "Pop on the rock" and worked as a consultant to Japanese companies. In 2003 he started the journey to take his radio program, RadioActive national. He is a volunteer in many community organizations and is currently the vice-president of The National Pioneer Hall of Fame. In April Steve Mitton; The Next Generation came into being with the birth of Steve's first grandchild, Naella Mitchell, Stephanie's daughter. Now for the request....I am trying to build a network of members who will use their influence and connections to help me take my talk-show national. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR MONEY, AND NEVER WILL BE.What I need is for members to listen to the show, (online at RadioActive w/ Steve Mitton )and if you think its worth it, send me an email at the website above and let me know.I have worked for years to hone my craft and I'm ready now but need connections in the radio field, so if you know anyone in your local radio market or nationally, I need introductions. If this is OK please let me know.Thank you all. Quote
Hemidakota Posted August 25, 2008 Report Posted August 25, 2008 We have a few here, either were a radio host or still in the business. I am sure someone will eventually answer your call. Quote
falisrm Posted August 25, 2008 Report Posted August 25, 2008 The only way it will go national is if it is naturally successful. The Capitalistic market will make it national. This is based on your skill and audience. If you do a good job, you'll have a larger audience. Good luck. but i doubt many people would actually be able to help build your radio career. Quote
Maya Posted August 26, 2008 Report Posted August 26, 2008 Let me know when you hit international.... oh btw hi from Norway/Finland... scandinavia. I so would like to make a nettradio or something.... but I am not sure of the legistalation of it around here. Anyway usual stations can not be made without that state gives you a thumb up... that means NO LDS stations are possible not at least inFinnish as it is impossible to get the permit. On teh nett might be easier... Quote
