Franken Posted September 8, 2004 Report Posted September 8, 2004 Four apples are placed each from the same equal distance from you in a square like fashion, what do you take/not take, leave and why? Quote
Blessed Posted September 8, 2004 Report Posted September 8, 2004 I'll bite. I would reach the apple in the right far corner of the square. It seems like a good starting point. I would only take one as not to be rude and allow someone else to have a chance to get an apple as well. Hope it is free.... B) Quote
Faerie Posted September 8, 2004 Report Posted September 8, 2004 start at my right and eat them all because i am a ravenous hungry pregnant woman...mwa ha ha ha Quote
Guest bat Posted September 8, 2004 Report Posted September 8, 2004 I would stomp on all of the apples. They might have worms in them. Quote
Dravin Posted September 8, 2004 Report Posted September 8, 2004 I wonder why on earth somebody put the apples there and leave the room, I like my fruit cold anyway. :) On a more serious note I'd probably take the one in front and to the right (I assume I'm in the center of a square by the description), if I was so inclined as to take one, as I'm right handed and not inclined to reach behind me so that leaves one obvious choice. Guest lt Posted September 8, 2004 Report Posted September 8, 2004 I would take any without asking, it might offend someone Quote
deepthinker Posted September 8, 2004 Report Posted September 8, 2004 i'd look at them and see which one is the least gross looking. then take the best one. because i don't want to eat a gross apple. Quote
Franken Posted September 9, 2004 Author Report Posted September 9, 2004 Alright... thx for answering everyone... On a scale of 1 - 10 this is how you guys scored... Blessed ... 7.91 Faerie ... 5.68 Bat ... 2.45 Dravin ... 8.21 LaurelTree ... 3.89 Deep ... 6.34 Good job everyone Quote
Guest bat Posted September 9, 2004 Report Posted September 9, 2004 You can't just assign us numbers without telling us what the numbers mean. I don't think this is a very scientific experiment. Quote
Dravin Posted September 9, 2004 Report Posted September 9, 2004 Yes, I gotta know if I should be proud over scoring highest, or ashamed. Quote
speedomansam Posted September 9, 2004 Report Posted September 9, 2004 if somebody placed 4 apples around me, i'd assume all the apples were for me. therefore, i'd take all of them. from there, i'd probably eat whichever one had the least blemishes, looked the crunchiest, and is also the biggest. i'd still keep all the rest of the apples, because you can't just leave them on the floor somewhere, where i'd probably be inclined to give them away if asked for especially because they were given to me. Guest bat Posted September 9, 2004 Report Posted September 9, 2004 Where is the sink in which to wash the pesticides that are on the apples off, anyways? We don't want to get sick now, do we. Quote
Guest curvette Posted September 9, 2004 Report Posted September 9, 2004 I don't think you're giving us enough information. My choice would rest completely on the type and quality of the apple. My choice would be in this order (the first being the most desirable): Cameo, Fuji, Braeburn, Granny Smith, Golden delicious, Pink Lady, and Red Delicious. If they were all the same type of apple, I concur with the people who went with the least bruised, pockmarked, etc. All apples are not created equal. Quote

I love hard, crunchie apples. Quote
Franken Posted September 10, 2004 Author Report Posted September 10, 2004 You all did very well Hate to say it, but the original question was just a bunch of nonsense that I'm guessing really had nothing to do with Psychology, other than the fact that a lot of you seem to be very gullible (No offense by that) I just thought'd be fun to pose a really stupid question for once and see what everyone says.
