prisonchaplain Posted June 13, 2006 Report Posted June 13, 2006 Ray was asked what he learned FROM me, and he answered with what he had learned ABOUT me. I suppose that's okay, but it does not concern me so much. He lives at least a couple hours drive away from me, and it is quite possible we shall never meet in "real life." On the other hand, indirectly he did admit he had learned something from me: PATIENCE. It's not my goal in life to be a source of growth for others in the area of patience, but if that's how the Heavenly Father intend that I be used in one life, then "Thy will be done." Quote
Ray Posted June 13, 2006 Author Report Posted June 13, 2006 Quick question, Tommy. Why do you refer to our heavenly Father as "the" heavenly Father, instead of "my" or "our" Father? It just seems a little too impersonal to me. And btw, I learned from and about you FROM you, just as I from and about God from God. :) Quote

I probably use "the" because I have done a fair amount of formal writing in my lifetime, and it's a habit. Ray and PC oughta get together for lunchThere ain't no such thing as a free lunch. Quote

Right Ray? i have registered the idea of "PC and Ray having lunch" with the US Copyright office. therefore, if you do have lunch, royalties will be due at a rate of 10% of total bill, incl tip. Quote
