mlbrowninwa Posted December 31, 2008 Report Posted December 31, 2008 Playoff football starts this weekend and i can't wait. On Sunday that feel good story of Pennington leading his new team to the promised land will end. Ed Reed and the Baltimore Ravens are coming to town to put on a show for all the land to see. Going to be a great game indeed! Quote
Palerider Posted December 31, 2008 Report Posted December 31, 2008 Anyone who can knock off the Steelers and or the Titans will get my attention. Quote
mlbrowninwa Posted January 1, 2009 Author Report Posted January 1, 2009 I feel they can take care of the Titans, but i still have my doubts about the Steelers Quote

Guest Godless Posted January 3, 2009 Report Posted January 3, 2009 The Ravens kept both games against the Steelers and their game against the Titans very close, so I think we're in for some great games over the next few weeks. I think they can beat Miami without too much trouble, and I'm really stoked that the game is at noon Central so I can actually watch it before I go to work! It's going to be a good one! Quote
Captain_Curmudgeon Posted January 3, 2009 Report Posted January 3, 2009 Of course, I'd pay more attention to your NFL commentary if you'd been putting your judgment on the line every week in the LDS.net upickem group. Here's the local group. Quote
Guest Godless Posted January 4, 2009 Report Posted January 4, 2009 Look out Tennesee!!! You're next!!! Quote
pam Posted January 4, 2009 Report Posted January 4, 2009 Okay godless..how about this...if the Chargers have to play the Ravens...if the Chargers win you become "godfull" and if the Chargers lose I become godless...no wait...that won't work...how about.........? hahahahahahaha Quote
mlbrowninwa Posted January 4, 2009 Author Report Posted January 4, 2009 Well if you like D you had to like this game. Congrats to the Ravens!! Titans are next! Three more wins to go!! Quote
Guest Godless Posted January 5, 2009 Report Posted January 5, 2009 Okay godless..how about this...if the Chargers have to play the Ravens...if the Chargers win you become "godfull" and if the Chargers lose I become godless...no wait...that won't work...how about.........? hahahahahahahaI honestly believe that the Chargers have a good chance of beating the Steelers next week. They've already done it once this season. And I'd much rather see the Ravens face the Chargers than the Steelers in the AFC Championship game. So yeah, go Chargers!!! But first we have to beat the Titans. Quote
mlbrowninwa Posted January 5, 2009 Author Report Posted January 5, 2009 I hope SD takes care of Pitt. I like the Ravens chances alot better if Pitt is out of the mix, but if you're going to be the best, you have to be able to beat the best. Quote
Palerider Posted January 6, 2009 Report Posted January 6, 2009 I hope SD takes care of Pitt. I like the Ravens chances alot better if Pitt is out of the mix, but if you're going to be the best, you have to be able to beat the best. if anyone beats Pitt in their house.....that says alot....:) Quote
mlbrowninwa Posted January 6, 2009 Author Report Posted January 6, 2009 Yeah, the last time SD and Pitt played i remember the score being within a point, but it sure seemed Pitt controlled the game more than the score indicated. Quote
Palerider Posted January 6, 2009 Report Posted January 6, 2009 Wasn't that the Monday night game that was played in the rain and I don't mean a rain shower either.... Quote
RainofGold Posted January 6, 2009 Report Posted January 6, 2009 I can't believe this football-mania.Last Saturday my niece got married and the reception started at 5:00 PMWell my husband arranged it so that he and some other Charger fans could watch the game upstairs in a little storage room. They came down to eat only in half time and overtime. The screams were so loud when the Charges won that we could hear them allover the hall. Needless to say they were very pleased of the outcome. Now, we'll see what happens next week... Quote

pam Posted January 6, 2009 Report Posted January 6, 2009 Go Ravens!!! Okay I can say that since they aren't playing the Chargers. Quote
Captain_Curmudgeon Posted January 6, 2009 Report Posted January 6, 2009 All this discussion reminds me of a Damon Runyon quote: "The race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, but that's the way to bet." Quote
Guest Godless Posted January 10, 2009 Report Posted January 10, 2009 Titans are going down today!!! Quote
Good_Days_Last Posted January 10, 2009 Report Posted January 10, 2009 Chargers fan here Go Ravens! I don't like the Titans at all. Plus, if the Bolts happen to win their game and the Ravens do too, the AFC championship will be in glorious San Diego :) Quote
mlbrowninwa Posted January 10, 2009 Author Report Posted January 10, 2009 This game is going to be all about the D. Just my kind of game. Ray Lewis and company will be up to the task. I feel it will be low scoring, Ravens 13-Titans 3. Ed Reed ends the day with another 2 int day. I have my Raven colors on, LETS GO RAVENS!!!!! By far, best match up of the weekend. Quote
Palerider Posted January 12, 2009 Report Posted January 12, 2009 next weekend...the best weekend of sports......Cardinals and Eagles and Steelers and Ravens Quote
