DavidFilmer Posted January 19, 2009 Report Posted January 19, 2009 Greetings. I was wondering what is the proper title of the person who presides at a Mormon worship service? Would this be "priest," "minister," or something else? Thanks! Quote

Usually a kid will give a short talk, followed by 2 adults. On the first Sunday of the month they have a "Fast & Testimony" meeting where all members of the congregation (called Wards or Branches) are invited to come forward and share their testimony of the church and it's teachings. KristofferUmfrey Posted January 19, 2009 Report Posted January 19, 2009 Nor do they get paid.Unless they are church employees (Institute instructors etc...) Quote

Palerider Posted January 19, 2009 Report Posted January 19, 2009 They also have 2 councilors to assist them in the work. The Bishop can delegate alot of the work load to them is he so chooses. But the bottom line is....nothing is done in the local Church without the Bishops approval.... Quote
zoosh Posted January 25, 2009 Report Posted January 25, 2009 EVERY guy is a "priest." The leader is a bishop, even though he is also a "priest" (he's a guy!!!!). I'm thankful that the church has been restored on the earth, as it was in biblical times. Quote
Justice Posted January 26, 2009 Report Posted January 26, 2009 On top of 2 Counselors, he also has 2 Assistants. :) Quote
