I liked this article for this statement alone:

The point is not to condemn President Bush, but to illustrate that party labels have meant very little in recent federal expansions.

I may align myself closer to Republicans, but I find even they are drifting further from what I think is right (pun intended).

I agree. Much of the slander and mud slung at Bush was simply lies and distortions. The truth is, fiscally Bush was more of a Democrat than a Republican or conservative.

Yep...and his expansion of government size (Homeland security) and influence (No Child Left Behind) are both what I would have expected from the left, not the right. Just goes to show that you never know.

On a side note, thanks bytor2112 for always finding the most interesting articles.
