Everyone Jenda you are correct LDS have a theology that's not solely based on the Book of Mormon. They believe their theology is based on what the Book of Mormon was based on namely revelation of God via prophets. The LDS & RLDS feel God has told them different things. I prefer to focus on what I believe. The books that have been published by both churches are enough to refer to.

Amilia what did you say? If you didn't say anything who said it? Now I am confused.

As to why I reached out to Chicago guy I was hoping he peaked into his post once in awhile. I can go two months or more inactive from a board & all of a sudden join in? I answer posts not to argue. I answer posts because I want to help others find answers. Perhaps he's broke & doesn't have the internet now. Perhaps he has two jobs & goes in & out of conciousness.

And if the BoM is to be considered valid scripture, it must be valid to all the world, not just the LDS or other restoration churches. Just as the Bible.
