Iggy Posted September 15, 2009 Author Report Posted September 15, 2009 (edited) How did you know Jack Daniels was my doctor?Pam, the only way they can know about it is because they WERE THERE! Thus, they are just as old if not older than you.BTW: I am feeling a bit better today. The edges of the bandages are making my skin itch. Can take the bandages off tomorrow and SHOWER. Then I can put on smaller bandages. Can't reach my feet to put on or take off socks. Wax ON Wax OFF. Husband did that for me this morning. Oooohh felt so good. He gave me a foot massage first. Yesssss! Pam, how many incisions did you get? I have 5. I only read about 4. Wonder if the 5th is to let the carbon dioxide out along with the one in the naval? My surgery nurse friend told me to be aware that I may have gas pains (bubbles) in a day or two. She also told me that I would just have 4 incisions also. Well I will find out in a day or two. ryanh Posted September 16, 2009 Report Posted September 16, 2009 Glad your surgery went well. My mother went in for lathroscopic GB surgery, but never woke up. Lost her to that surgery almost 13 years ago. Quote
Iggy Posted September 16, 2009 Author Report Posted September 16, 2009 I am so sorry for your loss. I was afraid that would happen to me too- so I had a priesthood blessing hoping that I and my husband would be given the strength to accept Gods will. I got just that too- without even talking before hand to the 1st Councilor. I was scared though- because the first thing I saw when I woke, was a christmas tree! I thought I had been out for nearly 3 months!!! Quote
ferretrunner Posted September 18, 2009 Report Posted September 18, 2009 Best wishes for a speedy recovery on the rib! My dad has Type II. He's doing well with excercise, diet, and the pill medication (don't remember what it is called). He was insulin dependent just before and after his heart surgery. He lost 65 pounds so far! He's doing awesome! I know the diet and habit changes can be hard. Keep at it and don't give up! Quote
