rameumptom Posted August 27, 2009 Report Posted August 27, 2009 April DeConick is a NT scholar at Rice University. On her blog, she's been discussing the different versions of the mortal Jesus, according to the early Christian writers. Now, she's looking at how Christianity changed from the days of the apostles through the council of Nicaea. In this current blog, she discusses that early Christianity was not a strong monotheistic group, as many Christians believe today. The Forbidden Gospels: Jesus on the Road to Nicaea 2: the lay of the landShe also puts the Bible in proper perspective, as it still was not A book, but a series of books that were traveling around the circuit along with other inspired literature of the time (Shepherd of Hermas, etc).
