sierrawave99 Posted October 15, 2009 Report Posted October 15, 2009 I have been reading about the LDS beliefs and have a question. If a widow or widower becomes a member can that person be sealed to their deceased spouse? Can the children be sealed to the parents in this way? Or can this only be done after both parents are deceased? Quote

tubaloth Posted October 16, 2009 Report Posted October 16, 2009 That is a good question. I'm pretty sure after the work is done for that Person (baptism, endowment) and so forth. Then the sealing can take place. Childen can be sealed to there parents (when they have past on). My dad and his sister and two brothers were sealed to there parents after they had past on. Quote

Of course! and it can be done while remarried in this earthly life to another if so desired, but in no way shape or form can either be sealed to two spouses while still alive on this earth.; Quote
busymomma Posted October 16, 2009 Report Posted October 16, 2009 jadams is absolutely right. You can be sealed to any of your family members who are deceased while you are still living. Quote
bytebear Posted November 8, 2009 Report Posted November 8, 2009 You can be sealed to deceased parents as well as they are sealed to each other. Any living people must be church members to be sealed to you, so if you have adult children, they would have to members of the church to be sealed to you. I would assume any minor children would convert with you, but that may not be true. Quote
BenRaines Posted November 8, 2009 Report Posted November 8, 2009 Adult children must be endowed and temple recommend holders to enter the temple and be sealed to living parents after parents have been sealed to each other. Same to deceased parents after parents work has been done. Ben Raines Quote
