rusty44 Posted November 23, 2009 Report Posted November 23, 2009 Hello,I find that it is very important to live the beliefs that have been experienced through the Holy Ghost as has been ministered by God,through the prophets and the leadership of order and ordination as has been set down by God for the purposes of creating clarity and purpose,in the midst of the greatest chaos and turmoil that the adversary might be able to use to blind and fool the gentile people who do not or will not adhere to sound reason in the doctrine and covenants as set down by God.The oil in the lamps of the 10 virgins is clear to me on these principals, and how by not adhering to those certain directives by God,through the order and ordinances of the prophets and leadership of the church,as to why not to partake of certain substances into the body,is for the blindness that it will cause to those who partake of those substances. And even more so for those who partake of certain substances, and knowing the extent of spiritual damage they may invite! Still by my experience,God is able to restore sanity, and spiritual blessings and perceptions to those who will turn from their insubordinations of rebellion! By my personal experiences and testimony given by God,through the Holy Ghost and empowered to overcome through my savior Jesus Christ,I declare its the truth and declare without a doubt that i know the church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints is consistant of the full gospel of Jesus christ as set down and ordered by God through Joseph Smith,Amen! Hemidakota Posted November 24, 2009 Report Posted November 24, 2009 The Holy Ghost over time should be one of your closest friends beside your companion. If He finds the time in relaying or touching you in a confirmation, how special you are in this world. So it is the same with any member of the Godhead or those considered dispensational prophets. Maya Posted November 25, 2009 Report Posted November 25, 2009 Welcome! Nice intro! See you around! So officially: Welcome to LDS.net. You will find here an ecclectic mix of LDS and some non-members. While the site is dedicated to the Gospel, and to promoting the Church to a world that often does not understand us, we also make room for conversations about current events, and about social and cultural practices within the Church. If your main desire is to learn about the Church, consider starting with the "Learn About Mormonism" forums. For more advanced teachings, that will often include a variety of perspectives, some non-LDS, consider the Gospel section of forums. While you are welcome to all main sections, be aware this site makes room for a variety of opinions and personalities. Some posters can be passionate about their views, and occasionally more so about them than about the souls of visitors. If you find something particularly offensive, feel free to make a report by clicking the appropriate tab. Quote
