Justice Posted December 16, 2009 Report Posted December 16, 2009 We see words being used like "adieu" (for farewell) and choices between words like "pressing" and "feeling", clearly evidence for a 'loose' translation process. Also, Joseph Smith translated "the writings that would come from the Jews" into "Bible" in some instances (2 Nephi 29) and in other places he just described it as the writings of the Jews. The Bible did not exist in Nephi's day and I seriously doubt they had a word for it, since the New Testament had not been written and attached to it yet. Quote

Guest SallyMae Posted December 18, 2009 Posted December 18, 2009 · Hidden Hidden How dare you waste the time of an internet warrior HiJolly! How old are you? I assume HiJolly is your alias, or is it Just_A_Guy?I notice when the counterfeits, (the kids playing scholars here) get trapped, they simply stop the discussion without cause. These threads are read for months, the behavior and shallowness echoes through search engines which bring onlookers who, well, no doubt will shrug at the childishness by the mods pretending to be watchers of the flock.Dravin, state why you outed LDSNETA. (no, this is not LDSNETA)
Just_A_Guy Posted December 18, 2009 Posted December 18, 2009 · Hidden Hidden Yeah, you caught us, SallyMae. We're only "playing" scholars. Because real scholars never ask for sources. I am also HiJolly and Dravin, because it's simply inconceivable that more than one person might ask you to document your historical claims.Dravin, I wasn't aware that you had "outed" LDSNETA. How on earth did you find out (s)he was gay?
