Shazz Posted December 12, 2009 Report Posted December 12, 2009 (edited) I'm not here to try and advertise a car but umm... *edit* Link deleted. Whether you are not trying to advertise, posting a link to an ad is advertisement and considered solicitation* That's the car I'm trying to sell, so far... I have put it on autotrader, KSL, eBay, craigslist, and I got scammed $230 on this auto marketing systems program I need to sell this car so I can use these funds to pay for a mission(I take off start of Feb.), anyone got any other ideas I can do? Local paper ad, those are all cheap cars that I can't compete in and parking it on the side of the road with a for sale sign I just don't believe in those tricks. Last option I have I think is to give it to a dealership and that will be the best I get. Edited December 12, 2009 by pam Quote
lydlou Posted December 12, 2009 Report Posted December 12, 2009 I suguest you put a for sale sign in the window, and drive it around normaly. Somebody will see it @ the store, or even while waiting @ a stopsign. but dont expect to get as much for it as a dealer would for the same thing. Check the kellys bluebook for private sale value and be relistic. Price is about supply and demand. Demand for most things is down right now because people are choosing to be more frugal. so if you realy need to sell fast sometimes you hafta take a loss in profit. Unless you have a family member who can handle the sale after you leave and deposit the money in your account. I hopethis was helpfull. Quote
Guest Alana Posted December 12, 2009 Report Posted December 12, 2009 Are you sure you priced it correctly? Look it up at KBB.com and get an idea of how much to sell it for. I'm not sure how much the car is that you're selling, but if it's under 6k, and you list it on craigslist multiple times with pictures and it's still not selling, you might need to lower the price. I will try the for sale sign on the car, thanks for the replies Quote
Guest mormonmusic Posted December 12, 2009 Report Posted December 12, 2009 Also, try an Autotrader online ad. People are looking online for things these days -- and there are lot of expensive cars. The sign is great. I have one on the side of my car for a small business I have, and it's generated more business than any other advertising medium. Quote
pam Posted December 12, 2009 Report Posted December 12, 2009 Really take a look at the nada price as you've stated you've done. If someone interested in purchasing how to finance it..I know many credit unions that use the nada price verses bluebook price. Quote
pam Posted December 12, 2009 Report Posted December 12, 2009 (edited) He did mention he's tried Autotrader. I don't know about other places but here in Utah you can't find the magazines anymore as I guess the business that distributed them went out of business. Edited December 12, 2009 by pam Quote

lost87 Posted December 13, 2009 Report Posted December 13, 2009 I posted a car on ebay motors in the classifieds section and it sold for my asking price in less than 48 hours...i'd try that out...just include as many pictures as you possibly can, undercarriage, engine, EVERYTHING you can think of, makes people more confidant that they aren't getting ripped off, and have carfax in hand to show people who come to look at it.
