They're not too uncommon. There's one near me, The Arlington Cinema and Drafthouse.

Actually while I'm here, what do people think of LDS members selling alcohol, as a bartender or bar owner?

i would not go to that theater... mostly because i would not want to sit next to someone who was drinking alcohol during the movie.

That's funny because i was thinking as long as they don't serve anchovies :)

Meh, it's not that big a deal. If that were the worst instance of scriptural prophecy becoming fulfilled, the world would be a pretty excellent place overall.

As for not going because of bad moives....I dont' go to theaters very often anyway...I go for the movies I want to see, not because the theater has a good or clever ad campaign.
