I can relate to the very last part about idiots, but despite that I can see the insult. It is never good to build ourselves up by tearing down others.

You insulting me and being sarcastic doesn't make your dump on the CoC any less obvious. The bizarre part is that you deliberately insult another faith and then whine about it when someone notices it.

Mystic, the problem with your comment is that singling out CofC as an example of Apostasy is tantamount to an attack on that church.

I don't like it when people attack the LDS church just like I don't like it when an LDS member attacks another church. We can disagree on specific doctrinal differences but dismissing the entire church like you just did on CofC is against our Articles of Faith.

point taken, that certainly was not my intent. it should go with out saying that we consider all other churches as being in a state of apostasy. the example of the CofC is particularly useful because it is the most recent example of how a church that at one time had the fullness of the gospel has slowly slipped away without divine guidance.

I don't like it when people attack the LDS church just like I don't like it when an LDS member attacks another church. We can disagree on specific doctrinal differences but dismissing the entire church like you just did on CofC is against our Articles of Faith.

as i said before the statement was not meant as an "attack" on the CofC but rather as a recent example. dismissing an entire church is not against any article of faith. in fact we are one of the few christian churches which dismiss every other religion. we are the one and only true church of christ on earth. this does not mean (nor did i ever say) that other churches don't have elements of truth.
