ADoyle90815 Posted August 9, 2010 Report Posted August 9, 2010 The BSA also doesn't allow atheists to join as members or leaders. Quote
UrbanFool Posted August 9, 2010 Report Posted August 9, 2010 How many deacons do you suppose they had passing at that meeting.Yeah, I was mentally counting loaves of bread. Quote
UrbanFool Posted August 9, 2010 Report Posted August 9, 2010 This issue is such a non-starter. President skips 100th Jamboree, likely because of the Gay Rights controversy...but of course, refuses to say so. Boy Scouts boo him, most likely for not showing. Liberals will probably say Obama was wise not to go, since the impolite outburst only confirms that these are young Republicans in the making--already a lost cause.A week from now this will likely be forgotten. It could have been 10 people out of the tens of thousands that were booing --they just happened to be by the camera. Just_A_Guy Posted August 9, 2010 Author Report Posted August 9, 2010 I remember when the Boy Scouts were booed at the National Democratic Convention. If I remember correctly, it was because the Boy Scouts didn't want openly gal leaders or openly gay scouts.BSA doesn't object to "openly gal" leaders, at least in Cub/Explorer/Sea Scouting units or at the district/council level.
