UtahBorn Posted February 13, 2012 Report Share Posted February 13, 2012 My belief in the present LDS gospel comes in part from the historical line of priesthood noted in the Old Testement, Christ's fulfillment of prophecy and the restoration of the priesthood in modern days. The Book of Mormon is the Keystone. (Gordon B. Hinkley) Humans have failed to live up to many of their trials through out Earth History. Joseph Smiths time and Our time have failure and apostates. Today the Internet exposes information both true and twisted . true to the believer, twisted to the non-believer. Faith alone can fall prey to deception, Study ( Study of Truth ) and prayer, strengthen faith creating a strong testimony of the Truth. Some of the deception is within the communications among the saints. If it does not come from Modern Day Prophets it is speculation. We simply may not be ready for all the Truths to be revealed.
