Affliction is part of our mortal experience.

Earth life is to provide a trial of our faith. To see if we will do all that is commanded.

All that we suffer and all that we endure (when done patiently) builds up our characters, purifiers our hearts, expands our souls and makes us more tender and charitable.

At most times it seems that trials focus on our weaknesses.

Sometimes the darkest of events precede remarkable events and tremendous growth. After much tribulation comes the blessings.

Often investigators face opposition prior to baptism.
