speciallady2011 Posted April 30, 2011 Report Posted April 30, 2011 I'm a little nervous writing on a forum but I realize that I need all the friends and support I can get. I am a single mother of three children. After separating and divorcing my ex husband, I left the church because I felt like I was not a part of the ward. A few months ago I had a special experience happen that brought me back to church but I am still attending that same ward. I am trying hard to keep it going but it has been challenging lately as I still feel a little like the odd ball out. I am looking for people who want to talk about the gospel and share experiences so we can be strengthened together. My children are 19, 14 and my 12 year old daughter has autism. I recently graduated college but its not an easy task to be a single parent especially when you live away from family and friends. Well anyway hope there are some that want to talk and share and encourage and I promise to do the same. Quote
pam Posted April 30, 2011 Report Posted April 30, 2011 Welcome to the site. I know the trials of being a single mom myself. I've done it for the last 12 years with three kids of my own. I look forward to getting to know you better on the forums. Quote
LDSVALLEY Posted May 1, 2011 Report Posted May 1, 2011 I am married, 3 children and when I started going to church I felt the odd one out. After being in 5 years we moved to a new ward (ten years ago) and I felt the odd man out. You would be surprised how many members feel as you do, really. Welcome to the site, I find it a great place to converse and find answers and companionship. Quote
