What Happened To The Thread?

I just posted some days ago a Thread concerning the Poligamy revelation and it just suddenly disappeared, well, did the thread became a Threat? Cant the brethren here take facts as men? Or at least, as "even as i am"(said Jesus in the BoM?

Are YOU being SUCH men? Do you visualize Jesus running away from 'false" acusations" or facing facts?

With out access to that forum, all posts in that forum will be invisable. It's a safety procaution to keep members from being exposed to things they may not wish to be exposed to. Even though it's your posts, if you are not a member of that forum, you will not see the posts.

That is unacceptable! How does our administrator chooses "what" is exactly what people lds dont want to be exposed to? True History? It is not good nor fair for lds people to be "protected" against their own will, how does "person #1" know that (for example) my topic would be one of those to which he hoped "not to be exposed" when in fact, he has not seen it!?

Thank you, i never noticed such politics, indeed, when 10 months ago, in very alarming threads(including Jason's) people were "exposed" to such topics and nothing like this was done, why not better erase it?!

At these moments, i am greatful Soulsearcher, that you are yet a part of this Church....oh.

At the end of the day all forums have rules and community standards.

Modding and admining forums is tough. You know you have the right balance when everyone is a little unhappy.

Your thread has not been deleted, it has been moved to what the mods feel is a more appropriate place.

I fail to see any reason to be upset about it.

If your's is an honest question, yes I am. But, not because of the Action(per sé) but because of the LOGIC of such. There is absolutely NO logical need(at least from a balanced lds mind) to hide such conversations. ...anyways, i am not angry at any of you, it is just a feeling of angry against the whole mind structure most people her egot, anyways, thanks,

Open topics = Board Purgatory

When things get to dicey around here they move topics to a place where you have to get "permission" to enter. Except that there is no way to know about it if you are new here and (unless things have changed) nobody really posts much there anyway. So it is basically purgatory.

You are welcome to your opinion. Blame me for helping to create what you call purgatory. I feel that the Open Forum is a great option.

This is a LDS site as it clearly states everywhere including the name LDS Talk. I applaud Soulsearchers comment that you know what you are going to get when you come here. There is those who wish to debate issues that come up in the media and elsewhere. When people come on line such as I did over two years ago I came looking to be with like mind people, looking for support and friendship. As moderators we basically get ridiculed from both sides. Maybe someone is offended by the presence and attitude of another member, maybe someone feels to censored. The open form gives you are forum to talk openly about your issues as long as it meets the rules of this site set by the owner. Each forum is only as active as the members who post there.

Are you serious? Where the heck have you been babe? Yeah, you have to PM heather for permission. THen when you click on the Forums button, a new "open forums" option appears.

No. Is is nowhere there posted that if they would like to explore such topics they should look for such a forum. Indeed, in the 8 months that i got here i dint notice that as well as others. Serg, I don't think the LDS here are trying to cover up, as much as they're saying "Hey, you can find and read about that somewhere else."

I don't agree with many of the policies here at LDSTALK, but I shrug and live with them if I want to stay and play. I know you're upset, but take it out on Heather or one of the MODS, not the other posters here.
