Winnie G Posted June 30, 2006 Report Posted June 30, 2006 Do any of you have a list in your head of all the questions you have when you see Heavenly Father? I have a list, Most cover questions of faith and the church early history , I know most of the answers but I like him to explain it. People ask why did that happen and why did it persist in the early years? Like cmblueeyes asked in his topic. All of these questions are on my list. I want to ask Heavenly Father when I see him. When I run across a question none can seem to answer I add them to my list and walk by faith. Do any of you have those privet lists in your head? Quote
Jason Posted June 30, 2006 Report Posted June 30, 2006 I heard a GA talk about this type of thing. Except he called it a "spirit shelf". He said you should place all the hard questions that would otherwise cause you extreme difficulty (aka cause you to leave the church) onto a spiritual shelf to ask God after you die. After I had built up an entire library full of questions, my shelves started to break from the weight. Then the whole thing collapsed in on itself. Oh well. Quote
MBASS Posted June 30, 2006 Report Posted June 30, 2006 I have a few questions. I just figure it will all get sorted out in the end. Quote
Guest Monica Posted July 2, 2006 Report Posted July 2, 2006 I dont really have any questions, because as they arise I pray about it, and He reveals it to me in scriptures. :) Jam 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all [men] liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. StosRob Posted July 2, 2006 Report Posted July 2, 2006 I actually have a question for my dad who passed away a few years ago. I know it's a bit off topic, but he and I were really into Family History and we were at a standstill with his great grandparents. It's a sad story. His grandpa was left with a family friend at the age of 4 because the grandpa's parents were moving across the country (he thinks maybe a gold rush or something) and they were to return for him when they got settled. They were never heard from again. The family friends new their names but that was it. They didn't know where they came from or any dates of anything. We could never find thier names on a census. It's just sad. Oh, to only know what happenend to these people. Quote
Lindy Posted July 2, 2006 Report Posted July 2, 2006 I have a few questions. I just figure it will all get sorted out in the end.Exactly how I feel.... and for those things that dont' get sorted out.... I have no problems asking questions :)Oh, and Jason... the "spirit shelf" idea works for me, but I'll take heed and try not to let them overload the shelf. I'll just go to the condensed version... to save more space Quote
