Winnie G Posted July 25, 2006 Report Posted July 25, 2006 Not all fun and games and money in your pocket.Computer glitchTo Ebay Can you help me?I am harryssister I have a dispute concerning one of my sales.I had communication with *******at the beginning of the comic auction about price and shipping cost. There was no other bids all along but his up until the close, then I received this email. (below)I wrote ********* and told her that there was only one auction of 30 comics not two. I told ****** that I was new at selling and I would be happy to send her what comics I had left at no charge, their not romance comics. She wrote back saying “never mind she did not want any freebees from me better luck next time mark it as paid”.I did what she asked and therefore, I thought that was over with. Not my luck now she wants it after I have been paid and shipped the comics to the winner whom I had first contact with. How this happened I don’t know but it has turned me off the whole selling on ebay. Can you give me a suggestion?I don’t what to throw my hands up and walk away. I want to do the right thing but I can sell her what I do not have. Can you help me out? Quote

Since you do not have that, you will have to refund her money. Keep her email where she said "never mind" in case you need to forward it to Ebay.It was an honest mistake. Don't let it get to you. Everyone makes em! Some more than others but nonetheless...........Marsha Quote
Winnie G Posted July 25, 2006 Report Posted July 25, 2006 It should say 30 comics it was the first sale I posted, she has writen me back and in a back handed way said she would back off again I saved that email. thank you for finding out my mistake Quote

Once you leave it, you can't retract it without major issues. You are not REQUIRED to leave any.I used to sell lots on Ebay, if you have any questions, please feel free to PM me.Marsha Quote
Dr T Posted July 25, 2006 Report Posted July 25, 2006 I'm considering trying to sell some stuff. Is the process pretty easy/ self-explanatory? Thanks Quote
MBASS Posted July 25, 2006 Author Report Posted July 25, 2006 I think so, it pretty much walks you through the process. However I am not a fantastic seller! Quote
Dr T Posted July 25, 2006 Report Posted July 25, 2006 Do we have to sign up for a Paypal account? Does it cost a percentage or a straight fee? What if no one buys anything, do you still have to pay? How do you work the price of shipping? Anything else I should know/ask before I try it? Thank you Quote

Thank youI dont think you have to have a paypal account, but most people use that so its difficult to buy/sell without one. The listing fees are straight, but then you pay a final value fee, a percentage calculated on the value of the sale. Shipping, you can charge a flat rate or use a calculated shipping based on the persons address, you can also add handling fees before you list. I think there is a online guide on ebay walking you through the steps and explains the process before you start listing items. Hope this helps somewhat?! Quote
Winnie G Posted July 25, 2006 Report Posted July 25, 2006 She did leave positive feedback “AOK” I will wait awhile before I do the same. Most of the other sales have gone with out a hitch. I will how ever wait awhile and let the rest end and will not sell again until all of the rest have cleared and arrived safe and sound. Quote
