A patriarchal blessing literally contains chapters from your book of eternal possibilities. I say eternal, for just as life is eternal, so is a patriarchal blessing. I just had my blessing the other week and am looking forward to receiving the written version so I can study it. Interestingly - the quote from Isaiah that you used, "“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways" is one that I pondered on for a week or so before the blessing. I know I have a bit of an intellectual pride thing going on when it comes to some aspects of Mormonism.
