pam Posted October 1, 2011 Report Posted October 1, 2011 The spirit of Elijah is required and necessary for the sealing powers on earth and in the eternities. The greatest responsibility is to seek after our dead. The turning of the heart of the fathers to the children and the children to the fathers fulfills the spirit of Elijah. It affects people both inside and outside of the church. We have a convenant responsibility to search out our ancestors and do their work. For this reason we do family history research and have temples. The youth were encouraged to seek out the spirit of Elijah and to do family history and to do baptisms for the dead in the temples. To do this instead of video gaming, surfing the internet and facebooking.Family history is not just an interesting program but a vital part of bringing families together. Quote
