applepansy Posted June 28, 2012 Report Posted June 28, 2012 Disclaimer: The following is product of wishful thinking after a week of nonstop running after 4yo who is on a search/destroy and be sassy mission.Help Wanted I'm looking for anyone who would like to spend a few days/weeks/months in the beautiful Utah mountains. Right in the middle of gorgeous hiking trails (trail heads within walking distance), a beautiful lake, a mountain river with fish in it. This recreation area supports water skiing, snow skiing in the winter, hiking, biking and breathing beautiful clean mountain air. All this comes with the addition of Free room and board. In exchange you would need to entertain a 4yo a few hours a day! Some drawbacks are you'd be sleeping on an air mattress in the sewing room and sharing a bathroom with said 4yo and his dad. Please send resume and preferred days/weeks/months you would be available to:[email protected].ORany suggestions for increasing Grandma's energy levels would be helpful too.(I'm not seriously serious but it sounds good. ) Quote
annewandering Posted June 28, 2012 Report Posted June 28, 2012 lol I have no clue how you do it. Maybe you ought to take up a gym membership for upping your stamina! It would always be good to do. :) Quote
Guest Posted June 28, 2012 Report Posted June 28, 2012 I say an annual membership to Chuck-E-Cheese. They have these tunnel mazes that could wipe out the most energetic 4yo... Quote
applepansy Posted June 28, 2012 Author Report Posted June 28, 2012 Both great suggestions..... but I do live in this remote area. The easiest exercise is walking on said trails. The nearest Chuck-E-Cheese is 28.6 miles away. I don't mean to a wet blanket. Both suggestions sound like heaven to me today. My next option might be renting a teenager who will work for peanuts. annewandering Posted June 28, 2012 Report Posted June 28, 2012 You do sound like you need a break more often. Love doesnt always assume endurance. :) Do they have any mom break groups around there? Trading off with others might be an answer, then go out on those trails and enjoy. :) Quote
applepansy Posted June 28, 2012 Author Report Posted June 28, 2012 There are two boys his age. Yup!!! Three blonde, blue-eyed, ENERGETIC sunbeams. We do play dates. It is saving our sanity. I've become a social secretary for a 4yo. LOL Tomorrow I'm having the boys over with moms and younger sisters to play in the water for a couple of hours. Heaven help me!!! LOL Quote
applepansy Posted June 28, 2012 Author Report Posted June 28, 2012 roflmso... I just found this: The Pity Train has just derailed at the corner of Suck-it-Up and Move-On, and crashed into We-All-Have-Problems, before coming to a stop at Get-the-Heck-Over-It.My pity party is over now. Quote

annewandering Posted July 2, 2012 Report Posted July 2, 2012 I had a neighbor that used nyquil before they changed the formula. Seems like a lot of moms did the same thing. Not recommended by the way. Meds really arent the answer although I know there were times I was tempted! Quote
