Echo2002 Posted July 7, 2012 Report Posted July 7, 2012 Did anyone watch this? I was disappointed, I'm guessing they did some major editing. I don't remember who was being interviewed. They way the questions were answered about how we get to Heaven made it sound as if we are following a check list. As if we are only getting there by our works, nothing was mentioned about faith.20/20 | Investigative Journalism, Medical Mysteries, News Magazine - ABC News Quote
bcguy Posted July 7, 2012 Report Posted July 7, 2012 It was interesting. According to Barbra Walters, she said there were 10,000 distinct religions. I would like to know where she got her source from. I in particular thought the Buddhist religion interesting. If you do a search on Google, I think a direct link can goto the site. Look up heaven2020. Quote
applepansy Posted July 7, 2012 Report Posted July 7, 2012 I didn't know this had aired. I'm watching now. Quote
Echo2002 Posted July 7, 2012 Author Report Posted July 7, 2012 The Dhali Lama (sp?) looked like a fun guy to talk to. Yes, 10,000 religions seems like a big number. Quote
pam Posted July 7, 2012 Report Posted July 7, 2012 10,000 doesn't seem large to me at all. When you consider all the countries, all the civilizations around the world it doesn't surprise me at all. Quote
Echo2002 Posted July 7, 2012 Author Report Posted July 7, 2012 Yeah, I guess when you consider religion throughout civilization, 10,000 may not be that outrageous. Quote
pam Posted July 7, 2012 Report Posted July 7, 2012 (edited) This website shows there are 310 religions in the US. All Religions and Denominations in the US - Under God in the Pledge - ProCon.orgSo think how many different ones there are just in the United States. Edited July 7, 2012 by pam Quote
pam Posted July 7, 2012 Report Posted July 7, 2012 Though I suppose Christianity in this website would be 35. But I'm sure there are more than that. Those are probably the main ones. When you think about all the break offs and sects.. Quote
