ozl89 Posted July 24, 2012 Report Posted July 24, 2012 Well, what to say. I'm new to this site and new to the faith. I'm a swedish young woman, and I think I've found my faith. I really do. I just, I don't know how to move on with it all. I've only had contact with missionaries online. I did meet up with some here in the town I live in, but we lost contact because of me having school and a lot to do. But I kept falling back on the mormon faith and well, here I am. Any one who can share their belief with me, and how you got to be certain that this was right for you? Sorry if my english is a bit poorly. But yeah. Hope for some answers. Quote
bytebear Posted July 25, 2012 Report Posted July 25, 2012 If you go to mormon.org there are links to find a church, or request missionaries contact you. I would start there. Quote
ZionsRodeVos Posted July 25, 2012 Report Posted July 25, 2012 Hi ozl89, Welcome to lds.net! As bytebear said, you should request missionaries come and visit you. Before I went on my mission I read the Book of Mormon and prayed to ask God if it was true. I don't remember getting an immediate answer but I do remember having good feelings that confirmed to me it was true. At that point, I knew the translator of the Book of Mormon, Joseph Smith, had to have been called by God and that the church he restored was also true and from there my testimony grew. Do you have a Book of Mormon? If not the missionaries can give you one. Quote

ozl89 Posted July 27, 2012 Author Report Posted July 27, 2012 Thank you all. Just wanted to say I'm getting a visit from two missionaries tomorrow evening. Super excited. A bit nervous as well, but I reckon it will go well. Quote
GrandmaBarbara Posted July 27, 2012 Report Posted July 27, 2012 I've recently joined the church after a ten-year 'hiatus.'. It's so NICE! I can tell you what MY mistake was: I followed my OWN counsel instead of the prophets' counsel. They love us, and they're correct. They have a pure, complete testimony of the Church and the gospel. Welcome Home :) Quote
